About DAISENRYAKU PERFECT 4.0

What is Daisenryaku?

Daisenryaku is a full-scale, turn-based, single player strategic simulation game.
Up to 8 factions compete against each other on large hex maps.
The game features more than 300 maps, with more than 50 terrain types, from oceans to deserts, forests and cities. Make use of over 1500(!) different units representing the latest military technology from all over the world. These include classics, such as tanks and fighter aircraft, but also more unorthodox options like electronic warfare airplanes and nuclear submarines.
The amount of possible strategies is near limitless. Bring in your units from the seas, attack from the sky, build roads and take the ground - the choice is all yours.

Gameplay

Battles take place on massive, hex-based maps. Plan your turns carefully to overcome your opponents.
Each turn consists of 6 phases: "Missile", "Income", "Supply", "Replenishment", "Action", and "Production".

State-of-the-Art Real World Weaponry!

Units represent real weapons and vehicles from all over the world, including over 70 of the latest real world ships, airplanes and other vehicles. For example, the "Asahi"-class destroyer was just launched in March 2018 and is already playable. In total there are over 1520 different units!

Multiple Editors

Players can edit maps, units, production rosters and game rules
to turn the game into an original experience for themselves.
・Use the Map Editor to build your own maps.
・Create original units with the Unit Editor.
・Assemble your favorite units in the Production Roster Editor.
・The Rule Editor lets you set the conditions for your next battle.
With all these editors, the amounts of possible content are sheer endless!

New: Neo Master Combat Mode

This new game mode offers the ultimate strategic challenge. Conquer the world one map at a time in the Neo Master Combat Mode campaign.
Earn combat points for each victory and spend them to purchase new units in between games. You can keep and customize your surviving units. Try to clear the game with one of your originals!
Occupy cities, destroy the enemy troops, escort a VIP - a large variety of missions is awaiting you.
Fight your way through a total of 60 maps.

Easy to Understand Tutorials

From the basics of moving troops and occupying cities, to complex maneuvers like electronic warfare and organizing supply chains - detailed tutorials will show you how to master the battlefield.
There are 14 tutorial maps, climaxing in a final exercise to test all the skills you have learned.

I'm not going to leave you some short essay about what I think about this game. Because it is vary simple! Anyone who played Daisenryaku on PS2 know with out a doubt hands down that DAISENRYAKU PERFECT 4.0 is crap. Nothing more but a over hyped money grabber. This game is worth less then 5 dollars USD.

I immensely enjoy this game. I understand that not many people will enjoy the graphics, but I find them nice. Plus with the graphics the way they are, it makes using the in game unit editor (which I used to add a armed Chevrolet Equinox into the game) pretty simple to use. People leaving these negative reviews probably expected a Daisenryaku more similar to Exceed, but this is a Perfect game, so it's more likened to Advanced Wars. Like a somewhat less arcadey Advanced Wars with waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more units/units that you change the armaments on. For me this is the best Advanced Wars alternative that gives you that Advanced Wars feel but it's on PC and is a bit more complex in a good way. The game crashed on me only once while making a map one time, but I typically save early and often so it didn't impact me that bad. TLDR: Game Good Advanced Wars Like Deceptively fun despite dated graphics Bugs nearly nonexistent

If you came expecting anything like Daisenraku 7, Don't. It's a full scale downgrade from that game. Graphics, Mechanics, Music, Sound effects, Visual effects, and quailty. I'd be massively ashamed to push something like this on steam. Especially when one could just port 7 on here. It would take half the expense and a third of the time.

Unplayable. Literally. Controls, translation, the whole thing. I loved DS VII on Xbox two decades ago and I hoped this would be at least up to that level. Massive disappointment.

Maybe this Daisenryaku Perfect doesn't had the best graphics, it doesn't had online multi, it doesn't had anything in 3D, it doesn't had too many BGMs, You can't mod it, You can't even change the screen resolution and it costs way too much even with discount BUT does it matter when the game, even with all of those flaws, is still truly a fun and magnificent title? Give it a chance and You won't regret spending money and time on this nearly 10 years old game. Its only Daisenryaku game currently available on the market with official english translation. And no, Daisenryaku Perfect isn't a continuation of mainline Daisenryaku games. Btw, Daisenryaku SSB2, which too isn't a mainline Daisenryaku game, will be released in February 2026, just a reminder.
