very hard platformer but I had a lot of fun with it. Good level up system, lots of enemies, decent bosses if a bit easy, generally ok platforming. certainly worth a dollar imho in keeping with the dark souls theme the route from the bonfire to el cyd was this games blighttown because it was hard and really bad lol. like i died more times getting to that one boss than i did to all the bosses combined.8 found this helpful
Lol, somebody liked Dark Souls a bit too much huh? What will come next? No Man's Sky, the platformer? No seriously, not bad game, looks great! But the controls are HORRIBLE... Use WSAD to move, use the Arrow keys for the attacking moves, use R for the action button... Ehm, this is getting close to be Dark Souls' controls exactly all over again. Except for the souls, there are no souls... Hehe... Funny aspect... Too bad, the game is great, but I cannot handle the controls. For what it is worth: A great Dark Souls Platform conversion (fanbased) game. Not sure about the prize, the graphics look like the developer did some serious effort for it to make it look as great as it does. Even if it's lower pixelated then the pixelated games we are used to lately. (like that game "Open Spades" - it's old but it's still fun to play and still has a lot of people playing it today's speaking) But whatever, this game, if you can handle the akward controls, you will have a good time. The music is btw MEH, heard some of them too often in South Park episodes...5 found this helpful
This game is just evil. I feel like the only way to win in this game you have to exploit the mechanics of the game.Honestly forget about this game, just go and buy a cheeseburger at McDonald's you will get more enjoyment out of that than you ever would out of this abomination.2 found this helpful
If you want a free* 80 achievements or you're one of those people who likes to 100% complete games then this is worth 99 cents. All achievements could theoretically be unlocked in like 30-60 mins, easy. You may just need a bit of patience, though. Is it a good game? No, absolutely not. The combat is janky, animations are off, controls are some of the most unintuitive I've ever felt, nothing scales well with the player, and the game is barely in English. That said though, it's very evident that someone out there did genuinely put effort into this. If you don't mind spending a dollar, this game is kinda nice just to see like 20 achievements all pop up at the same time, if anything. I think, for what it is, there's nothing inherently horrible about it. At the end of the day someone just wanted to make another "Souls-like" spin-off and kinda failed hard. If it were any more than $1 then yeah this review would definitely be a bit different lol1 found this helpful
this isnt elden ring
Very rough around the edges and tedious but, this game does a good job feeling like a mix between an NES platformer with mild RPG elements. For a dollar this isn't a bad buy but don't be expecting game of the year type of quaility. I honestly feel the main reason I beat this game was more out of spite than anything but I also do the same with dark soul games to lol just not as rewarding of a feeling.
