Destinies

I just paid $60 for this game from my local game board store. I am using the Steam Destinies app and no matter what I do the application is not able to use my external logitech camera. Waste of money.

The game is fun to play. We played through all of the original campaigns with three players. The game is easy to handle and learn. It promised that the four scenarios would be connected, but we did not really experience that aspect of the game. Perhaps we need to replay it to better understand how the scenarios are linked together.

The app is very smooth and keeps track of everything for you.

Ok... so mixed. I love the concept of this game. If you enjoyed Arkum Mansion, then this is sorta like that, but with a better game UI with the camera. LOVED the camera as it added a little mystery on what the game can do. THAT SAID... - Managing all grey pieces was annoying. We kept losing track, and honestly the pieces don't matter. - The game feels a little the same, since the underlying rules don't change. So after 2 games, you are like.. OH, GOT THIS. - Map was also.. kinda pointless, since there was the app. - Player interaction was null. It's a single player game as a race. Soo.. not saying NO, but it's a solid design that just BARELY crosses the finish line. If they made a expansion that fixes a lot of the flaws, I'd buy it.

Beware - Linux Webcam will not work with this, makes it unplayable on laptop

App broken on MacOS. Game will crash soon after startup Reported around June 2025 (https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3528500/the-app-is-broken) and not yet fixed as of today, 26th October, 4 months later.
