About 家训 Dogma
"Dogma" is a first-person Chinese horror game blending rule-based anomalies with Yin-Yang realms. As the sole survivor of a cursed household, you return to the isolated ancestral mansion, following cryptic family precepts to reconstruct memories through four relatives' perspectives, revealing truths buried between dreams and reality.Amidst millennial chaos, a family of four descends into madness. Twenty years later, as the escaped younger brother, you receive your mother's letter summoning you back to the derelict home. Navigating spaces where supernatural phenomena intertwine with fragmented memories, you must uncover mold-covered secrets through stealth, artifact collection, and paranormal chases.Gameplay requires obeying paradoxical family rules while traversing dual realms, solving environmental puzzles, and confronting haunting truths about sacrificial rituals that shattered your bloodline at the turn of the century.

Despite the game being listed as working in English, the first puzzle you get is a 4-digit code written in Chinese. I tried using image-to-text translation, but the text is surrounded by rust and dirt, so it can't be translated. There are only 64 combinations you can brute force it. Later on, you encounter the monster. I don't know how you're supposed to get past it, but if you die enough, the monster unloads. This will likely be the furthest you can get in the game, because once you interact with the bathroom mirror, when you try to enter the next room, the game goes back to the main screen. Not good.8 found this helpful
This is a game you can start up and play, assuming it feels like cooperating. Performance is not great, making it easy to see through walls and occasionally fall out of the map entirely. Checkpoints exist, but restarting them does not reliably reset the game state, which can lead to soft-locks or events triggering in the wrong order. Progress often happens less because you did the right thing and more because nothing critical broke this time. I give it 1 bad game state out of 5 wall clips.1 found this helpful
Not bad for a demo, but still needs major improvement before release. The walking is awkward and difficult but even more when crouched this makes everything harder then it should be. One puzzle is number related but was not translated which made it super hard and had to google it. I found a key, opened a door and was kicked back to the main menu, was this a bug or did I finish the demo ? Who knows ... Overall enjoyable but still needs work.1 found this helpful
Not actually accessible in English.
don’t play if you have motion sickness the camera shakes so much that its just annoying to play
Demo with great potential. Maybe need some performance optimization.
