Dragon Essence - Color My World -

This game is a disappointment. I waited years for it to come out and this is what we got? It tells you to either live an unhappy life or run away from your problems forever. If I wanted a lecture on responsibilities I'd listen to my parents instead. I don't mind games that don't have happy endings but this game just frustrates me. I'm not used to being let down this hard by Zeiva Inc. And please for the love of God add a skip function to your games! Because right now the game is a drag to play through multiple times to get different endings that aren't even good! Buy Area-x instead of this game.

Felt like none of my choices mattered by the end of all but one route. And that route I didnt care one bit about.

Well this game is illuminating. As the author says, it depends on perspective on the ending you received. I like this game although not as grandeur as Area-X. It is still a nice game. There are characters who remind me of characters of other games like Tian Zhao being Elcia, being sacrificed for the one they care and enjoying life. Chin An feels like the only character who changed in the choices we made, she can either be selfish or selfless whereas in other Zeiva games, it is the characters that react the choices made. I have some personal thoughts on the endings and characters, at first I dislike Tian Zhao for his first impression but I gradually grew on him. He is really like Elcia and I like his character, he is a perfect match for Chin An. Xui Wei is one of the main antagonist I really hate as Fritz the Demon from Attack on Titan and that is saying from someone who mostly don't hate easily. Although his path ending is good as Chin An sacrifice herself to protect her loved ones from the villain. He is also quite an antagonist against Chin An as he purposefuly exploit Chin An weakness that she succumb in the 3rd and 4th ending and especially in 2nd Ending of Xu Wei path. I had …

I found this game as a child, when i first played Other Age, the VERY first other age on dressupgamesforgirls, i could only play the demo for Dragon Essence for soooo long and recently remembered these games as a adult, I'm so happy to see this company still around, cranking out the games i loved so much <3
