[b]TL;DR[/b] While an interesting premise, Dream Girlfriend: Doomer Girl is quite a doomer itself in that it doesn't really feel like it wants to exist. It definitely needs a lot of TLC before I'd say it's worth a grab. + Jessie is cute and heartwarming + Decently strong setup as a guy that feels nothing and struggles to let himself feel anything - Choices don't mean anything - Lackluster writing/story - No save feature/gallery for the one sex scene, meaning you'd have to replay the game to rewatch the scene - Too short ----------------------------------------- [h1]--- Overview ---[/h1] You play as a doom-and-gloom "feels bad man" guy (you name him) who likens the tragedy of being a virgin to being as bad as war and disease. As a doomer, you're in love with a girl from an anime, and end up finding a girl with the same name and appearance as the one from the anime you watch, forming a connection to her, and living with her and having a good life. In spite of giving this a thumbs up, I’m disappointed. Not in what it is, but what it could have been. What it is…. Fairly light, fairly short, but well drawn and the girl is definitely cute. What it COULD have been is an intro to a much broader and crazier world. There are so many hints dropped that just evaporate. The girl in the store just “happens” to look exactly like the girl in the magical setting on the computer AND has the same name. Riiiiiight. The main character just “happens” to start getting headaches as soon as he meets her. Sure thing, bro. Ok, “hot chick kidnaps mundane dude to take to her magical world to complete a world saving quest” is a little cliché. But cliché works for a reason. Doomer Girl ” had all the promise but just sort of… stopped.
