About Dreams of an Exile
Lyra is a half-elf who lives in a village where elves and humans have lived together in peace for centuries, protected from the monsters from outside by a magical barrier. Everything seemed peaceful until a mysterious mist started to cover the village making people sick, including her mother. Searching for a way to save her, Lyra finds in her father's notes that the solution would be outside the barrier. However, whoever crosses it can never return and becomes an exile. Determined, Lyra sets out on her journey of no return and finds that the stories she heard were a farce. Investigating the reasons that led to so many lies, she meets other exiled girls. Now, she is faced with the mission of clearing the barrier and returning to her village, at the same time she can experience her first love. ✦ 3 Different Endings;✦ 2 Datable Girls;✦ A game without battles;✦ Exploration mechanics;✦ Colorful visuals;✦ Nostalgia feeling as well as retro music!Visual novel, exploration, romance, yuri, fantasy, G+G

This game looks so fun, the visuals are pretty and it's non-fetishistic Yuri, non-combat focused RPG! However, there are some issues with accessibility. Controllers don't work, it probably also wouldn't work on SteamDeck but I'm not willing to install it on there considering how bad it was on PC. A bug seems to be preventing me from using a weapon which means I can't progress as I need the weapon for some puzzles (presumably). I say presumably, because there isn't a tutorial and some of the puzzles or objectives aren't intuitive. Dev's haven't responded to my questions, so I'm assuming they're not active at this point, so I wouldn't anticipate fixes for these issues. I will try to include more details on accessibility considerations that have been met and what could be added later but I'm a bit discouraged due to the lack of early game accessibility.3 found this helpful
Cool exploration and minor puzzles + platforming. Good stuff for only that. The yuri stuff on the top, and you have a game. Only real complaint is that you have to save often because the game froze completely ~6 times during my play. Only way to continue seems to be to close the game and reload latest save. The story isn't great either, but that's not a real complaint since I got to look at cute women falling in love with cute women. Oh yeah the energy system isn't smooth either. Also not a real complaints since you get used to it.1 found this helpful
This game is cute. Gameplay is like Link's Awakening without the combat, just exploration using items you acquire to traverse new kinds of obstacles. The characters are fun though the writing could use another edit pass. There are a number of bugs and flaws that range from annoying to major - some of the issues I've had include: poor controller mapping (but works fine by assigning inputs through Steam), random crashes (probably related to the memory leaks people mention), occasional buggy behaviour (in the beach dungeon there is a spot where you have to jump over the tiles that damage you, and sometimes the landing bugs out and sends the character bouncing backwards towards a hazard), janky controls (the jump has a weird half-second lag that takes getting used to), and a system for managing the character's energy and health that feels unnecessarily punishing. I would love to see more like this, with a bit more polish/QA, because the core concept and the premise are very good! Side note for anyone reading these reviews and wondering where the NSFW DLC went: it's not on Steam anymore for some reason, but you can get the game in both SFW and NSFW versions on Itch.io for the same pric…1 found this helpful
This game does not like the steam deck. I havent manage to play much since my PC is out of commission right now and while the cobtroller isseues are possible to work around with som remapping boy, this game sure crash alot!
Much more of a puzzle game than a VN, but I had fun! Emmaline, my love... It's cheap, and I liked the story, characters, puzzles, and CGs, so I'd say it's worth the price.
Cute game with nice art and music. However, the gameplay is pretty tiring after wall. The energy bar system makes the gameplay worse than it should be and a lot of time is spent waiting for my energy to recharge to use a tool 3 times in a row which the game often demands. It's extremely frustrating to play the game because of this and it's rather clunky since key inputs are unresponsive some of the time. There's multiple endings to the game but the gameplay is too tedious to want to try to get any other endings.
