Earth Must Die

It's a dark comedy satire point and click adventure game. That being said, its not funny. The satire is either too on the nose or too over the top to be clever. The jokes revolve purely around either: 1) Profanity 2) Sex 3) LolRandom 4) Gore It's not that those four things can't be funny, in fact, they usually are. But this game tries so hard to make you laugh that it just feels... aged? Like this would maybe be funny to a middle schooler in 2016. It can't decide if it wants to be gross-out funny, just gross, or just funny, so it falls short on everything and feels like hearing a juvenile make a sex joke. It's just gross and weird. The story is nonsensical and underwhelming. The only character who isn't over the top annoying is the companion, Milkie, and the devs knew that when they made you do the ending. Which is a really, really bad ending too. The art is almost fun, but the aspect ratios and stretching and, again, grotesqueness of it make it just fall short. Some characters are fun and stylized like a 90s cartoon, most are just downright ugly, and have no thought behind them as their animations clearly display. for all the talent that went into this game..... its weak sauce never before have i played a game were i knew so many of the names that went into it and thought they were funny people. from watching every single season of taskmaster from around the world that is in English and 5 seasons that are not with subtitles - slow move speed - cant move with mouse - cant move when people are talking to you + can skip text if you finish reading before they finish talking or started the same text loop again 2/10

From a technical standpoint: It runs well, stable, apart from the occasioan slowdowns, where I just restart the game... but that is rare. Graphics: 10/10. Beautiful game. Awesome artstyle. Controls: Wonky. 90% mouse only, and for some weird reason you need WASD to move around. This is very stupid. I assume some kinda price we had to pay to get controller support and console ports? I dunno. Still... kinda dumb. Story: Rude, interesing, surprising, and a... bit weird ending, but I can accept it. I'm not a big fan of the end... has the same issue with Deponia. But again, it's an artistic decision, and I'm not the artist :) Puzzles: Kinda unoriginal sometimes, and they lack logic many times. Meh... Voice-acting: 10/10. A masterpiece. Other pros: -blood :D -Good humor. Really Other cons: -unskippable crap at the beginning. Overall: 7/10 This won't redefine the genre, but it's fun once. Actually decisions have consequences, gives it a bit more replayability. But sadly not other endings...

This game was a lot of fun, great cast and a truly bizarre story. It's interesting for a point and click style game to not have click based movement or an inventory system but the puzzles and story still work great all the same. The art is excellent throughout and there are plenty of really funny moments. I recommend it but I don't think I really took in the details of the trailer when I decided to stream this, as there is a lot more death, colourful guts and alien orgys than I expected. I basically saw Little Alex Horne and that it was a point 'n' click so I paid no more attention. I blame Alex for me having to read the Milkypedia entry about Terranoid romance aloud to an audience and also showing them the aforementioned alien orgy.

Its okay game. Probably get it on sale. Be prepare for some bugs - voice over disappeared completely and i had to restart - while talking to an npc i couldn't exit the conversation the leave conversation button disappeared. The story is mediocre. Good art style, voice over and overall dialog writing is fine. P.s. Prepare your diskspace :) I was very surprised to see that it takes ~35GB

It is a fine darkly comedic adventure game. Reminded me of an edgier Invader Zim. The puzzles were very interesting, even if a few were frustrating. Thankfully, only the final puzzle needed a guide.
