An unusual rougelike involving assembling a group of candy, slimes, space beings, and others as you vanquish monsters. You collect items on your journey and evolve your creatures as you travel deeper. The main focus is that it plays more like a strategy game of outplaying your enemies in an RPG like fashion. There is a lot of replay value with all the modifiers and creatures you can recruit/evolve. The art is just meh but the music includes good chip-tunes. Its not too pricy and doesn't have too many problems with itself.
A pure underrated masterpiece. Evolings is a charming, action packed strategy game that's sure to keep you entertained for hours while admiring its cute art style. A hidden gem that deserves way more representation and popularity.
You can feel the passion the Developers had for this game. From little cutscene for killing boss based on who got the final hit, to the move shrink actually shrinking the sprites. It just is worth it for the price.
The gameplay is not that great because it requires very careful planning on what evoling you'll choose to evolve, and if you manage to not get a combo that's really strong, you'll certainly fail the run. Other than that the game is really fun even though it's short. The characters are really cute, so it's worth your time!

This is one of the simpler and quicker roguelikes Ive played. It has its charm and fun "evolving" mechanics that keep it fresh compared to others!
