About EXE: Mainframe
EXE: Mainframe is a twin stick arcade shootem-up. You must survive as long as you can and compete for the highest score. You'll fight through an endless wave of enemies and collect power ups along the way as the difficulty increases. How long can you survive the mainframe?

A well-balanced, polished twin-stick shooter. It's the same waves over and over, but it's fun to pick up and play for a quick game. There's some steam achievement challenges to make replays interesting. The price never seems to go on sale, but I think it's worth the two dollar price. Going to try it on the Steam Deck, soon, as it works great on my desktop linux system with keyboard and mouse controls. I was not able to get full functionality on a gamepad controller.9 found this helpful
Solid twin-stick bullet hell game with beautiful graphics and tons of style3 found this helpful
This game is an excellent wave based bullet hell game with smooth mechanics, and all around enjoyable game-play. Very fun time killer.2 found this helpful
Fun, twin stick, arcade, action, shooter. Great retro style that feels thought out and polished. If it weren't for the leader board I think I'd get tired of it. As of now I'm almost top 10. Would love to see this same game co-op. Good ramp in difficulty, takes a little time to learn all the pitfalls and enemy types. Still unsure on some of the finer points on scoring, like "style" and what constitutes a combo. Reminded me of old school arcade shooters that I might have played during sleepovers. Great music. Recommended for great price and level of polish.1 found this helpful
Solid little dual joystick shooter that commits to its style and has a good soundtrack.
Really tightly designed. Love the TRON influenced graphics (and the "Bit"-esque entity that appears on loading screens), but there are a lot of little subtle flourishes about the visuals that I really enjoyed. The way the game board warps around your shots, how the floor lights up in a trail as you go, or how the levels sprout out from the same common grid. I also like the way environments can get smashed into shards and become a factor in the melee. The active dodge combined with generous usage of a remote detonated bomb adds a unique touch to the twin-stick formula. Really enjoyed what I played so far. Great soundtrack too.
