Exoplanet: A Project Coreward Demo

I have the most fondest memories of playing Starflight I and II on my Commodore 64 when I was a teenager. I loved keeping a real logbook of my journeys and writing down useful data that I came across while exploring systems and planets. Exoplanet is pure joy to play. It brings back so much nostalgia but in a completely new form to be explored in VR. I can't believe it's free but am grateful to the developer for offering his hard work to the community.

This is a strange one, the tutorial videos help, they're short. Once you get going there's a lot to do for free, act I took like 2 hours, but you can keep playing. The combat's fun, there's a ship combat mini game. Planets get repetitive, but some of the cliffs are super high and the oceans and lakes are cool if you explore enough. - The sound is very good - I loved the thunder and lightning. - Looks decent - Plays smooth - I didn't have any bugs. - Very worth trying, excited to see more. - A hidden freebie. P.S. I vaguely remember "starflight" from the genisis, same vibe.

i don't recall ever getting this game, apparently they rebranded something else into this (at least that's what i gather from the patch notes). the controls make no sense, the selection beam forces you to hold the controllers at an awkward angle to do anything, and i ended up not training my crew enough because i wasn't given a good explanation of what they needed to be good at
