Factory Town 2: Paradise

This is game is very frustrating!!! After nearly reaching second volcano, it becomes unbearable to increase town level. There no way to tell "what" the town needs are. Example, town needs "drink" as one of items to satisfy. But three issues arise to meet this demand: 1) There is no way to control as you cannot assign them to pick up most common resource: water from the canals/water spring. Thus town supply water very little to the market to meet demand. 2) After manually delivery two stack of water (40 x 2 stocks) to all of my markets (+5 markets), the "drink" does NOT go up. 3) So I setup harvest to pick up oranges and coconut, and "drink" still does NOT go up. This is just of of examples where there is no way to understand what town needs, and how to achieve their needs. And town also sleeps, and does other things which takes away from working on their needs. In the meantime, the bar that bring other more ppl to town goes down instead of up. Thus, there is no way to advance in this game! Mechanics in this game needs to be severely overhauled!!

Factory Town 2 is a game which blends automation and city building elements to create a unique, stress-free gaming experience. Unlike other automation games, in Factory Town 2 there are no time constraints, or waves of monsters you need to defend your base from, instead the main “challenge” in this game is to expand your village population level while maintaining villager happiness. As more villagers arrive (which can be employed to increase production rates), the villagers needs will increase as well, this establishes the gameplay loop of creating new production chains to provide better value goods to your villagers as you expand and grow your colony. I would classify this game as a cozy casual version of some of the other automation games out there, but that isn’t to stay that is a bad thing, and I think it actually works in this games favour. Since there are no time restraints, this game allows for the creative player to spend time creating block art (similar to Minecraft) and has décor items which can be placed around your village allowing you to stylize your map as you see fit. I played FT1 for nearly 400h and will likely play it a lot more. FT2 is no different. Both will earn their value through their replayability. The indie dev behind the game has also demonstrated to take his craft and his players seriously. Support the dev - get the game!

Wonderful little automation game and a worth successor to the original. I hope that before leaving EA they include an option to increase the size of the initial island, but other than that it's 10/10.

Lovely game and a huge improvement over the first (even though the first was already good).

It's good. I don't enjoy it as much as Factory Town as I don't feel I have the same direct control over the population however that doesn't make it not good, just my personal taste. So but it!
