Faded Stories: Greenberg

Usually I like games from this serie, but unfortunately this is not one of those cases. This game is s-so minimalistic that I can barely see any actual work here. BD: Coma established certain standards and thus - reasonable expectations. But Greenberg doesn't even fit the level of BD: Stories. Probably only 2 first episodes deserve some attention. Some. The rest of them is so primitive, that certain locations contain 3 dots, 2 lines and that's it. With very vague plot and almost nothing to do. I liked to come back to such games to find local secrets and unlock different endings and achievements. It was rather thrilling activity on it's own. But this time I do not feel myself invested enough even to come back just to finish the job. Very disappointing.

Another great game from the developer. Or rather, a game collection. All of them were quite good; there was just one that was a bit more tedious, as it was sometimes hard to make out certain items, causing me to get a little stuck. For these game collections, I would really just like a save system. Even a simple one like the one in "Bad Dream: Purgatory" would be fine. While the games aren't long, and you can get back to where you left off fairly quickly if you know what to do, having a save feature would still be nice.

Not quite as good as Bad Dream: Coma, but still solid. The puzzles are interesting, and the different player choices are handled in a satisfying way. Some sections are tedious though (especially Corrupted Memory, which is basically just pixel hunting). The secret-related achievements are a nice bonus. Very short game overall.

From the dev of Bad Dreams comes this anthology story in a similar style but a slightly more scaled back form. If you like the Bad Dreams series, you will probably like this too, it has a similar weird, messed up, eerie vibe and totally nonsensical puzzles (but that has always been this series style), there's really no way of soft locking you from what I saw, and the ending of the last epiode has like 7 variations, but you can skip a huge portion of the game, so it's not a big issue. I especially liked the "Propaganda" episode and found it especially clever with the 4th wall breaking puzzles, loved that one. If the entire game was made with that concept I would say this would be the best from this dev so far, the other episodes are not bad, far from it, but that one really hit it home.

Fun hidden object game. Has some slow segments, but has lots of ways to play through with many multiple endings.
