About Fossil Hunters
Embark on a casual adventure deep underground in search of mysterious artifacts, hidden treasures and most of all, fossils!
Find Fossil Blocks by digging through underground levels and connect them together to create a complete skeleton.
Different fossils can be found depending on the kind of dirt and the environment you are digging in. Using rare pieces or making huge skeletons can result in more valuable creations, but you choose how many pieces to assemble and in what order.

You’ve been selected to join an elite team of Fossil Hunters as they set out on a mysterious expedition, but when you arrive at the Digsite it looks abandoned!

You find an old notebook and some torn pages of research notes, could they lead to some answers about what happened here?

Complete specific Fossil Schematics to further the path of science and progress deeper into the caves, where you'll encounter new creatures, dangers, and the secrets of the researchers who came before you...
Science is always easier when you’re part of a team… isn’t it? Up to 4 players can explore the mysterious depths together, but cooperation is not guaranteed! Will you help your fellow fossil hunters to create spectacular skeletons? Or will you compete with them and claim glory for yourself?

Fossil Hunters is an action-puzzle game where you explore underground levels with your trusty pickaxe at the ready to clear away sand and dirt, hopefully unearthing fossil pieces which you can then assemble into complete skeletons. By dragging the fossil pieces around and aligning them to a grid, you unlock the elevator to the next level - and any extra completed fossils mean kaching kaching for you! The game has a lighthearted adventure feel, with hidden secrets, environmental hazards, and no pressure from enemies or timers -just very cosy, satisfying exploration and the freedom to make a looooooooooooong fossil if you want to. And I did. I usually play with keyboard and mouse, and I have to honestly say that the controls are quite hard to grasp when playing that way. The game is developed with a gamepad in mind, and since you can't remap controls, the game is genuinely unplayable without a controller. X and Z aren't the best buttons to hard-map primary and secondary actions to, especially if you have to hold X and then use WASD to move around dragging items. So I dusted off my golden PS4 controller, took an embarrassingly long time to get my game sound to come through my hea…1 found this helpful
Just wasn't for me- perhaps more fun in coop but as myself just wasn't what I as expecting. No way to have or organize inventory and a controller is a MUST.1 found this helpful
this game is awesome
My roommate and I are addicted to this co-op puzzle game!
I own this on Itchio - I played it with a friend on steam's remote-play-together thing. It's sadly only local co-op (hence the remote play thing) but it's an enjoyable chill game of digging up and piecing together fossils :D
Played the whole thing through by myself. I found it pretty fun, although it can get repetitive and some of the obstacles get annoying. Recommend playing with a controller. Nice short game, love the art style, the premise is the fun kinda goofy. Overall would recommend
