We really wanted to like this game. The game is very glitchy and sometimes crashes for no reason and you have to start the level all over again. This is especially frustrating when fighting Ultra Cobra Commander. No matter what we do it will crash out on the last level an prevent us from beating the game even though we still have lives and health left. I would not recommend this game unless you would like a very frustrating experience. This game has not been optimized properly.5 found this helpful
This game was GI Joe in name only. It to me was clearly a cash grab. They made the characters LOOK like the 80s cartoon, but none of the original audio samples (like for the guns), music, or voices. If it was a license issue, why didn't they even try to midify the original music from the cartoon? Anyone can do that right? But even if they did, the core game play is just not there. A few familiar locations and enemies viewers of the cartoon will remember (member berries) And I have been playing Beat Em Ups all my life. This one is forgettable. Imho it was a shameless cash grab cashing in on the nostalgia memberberry value to Gen-X. 1 out of 5.4 found this helpful

The gameplay is alright, but really the main driving factor to be playing the game is the G.I. Joe brand. As a child during the 90s, I read the comics G.I Joe: A Real American Hero (published with the name Action Force in my country) and I had many action figures from this franchise. So the real driving factor for playing this game was nostalgia. The game is OK, it could be better but it gives you some familiar and less familiar characters to play with and also familiar enemies to play against.
I wanted to like this game. I've been growing a soft spot for the GI Joe franchise, mostly because of the "Energon Universe" stuff that the comics have been doing lately. (If you know, you know.) Unfortunately, this game is a buggy mess, the cutscenes are unwatchable, the gameplay isn't fun, and the achievements are trash. Ignore this game, it's not a fun time.
