If you're wondering what is this game like, it's exactly the first Resident Evil, but instead of survival horror, it is an RPG. I think the game is in its own subgenre that never took off, let's call it Survival RPG. You have to be careful with every bullet, you have to look where the enemies can move and position yourself accordingly, otherwise you're going to run out of ammunition and healing items and then you're stuck. Here you're going to have to live without the comforts of modern turn based RPGs, like high screen resolution, rotating camera or running back time if you make a booboo, but the experience of this gaming relic is surprisingly wholesome. I can only imagine how good this game must have felt all the way back in 1999 when it came out.

[b]Introduction :[/b] Gorky 17 (sorti sous le nom d'Odium en Amérique du Nord) est un tactical-RPG au tour par tour développé par le studio polonais Metropolis Software et sorti en 1999. On y dirige un petit commando de l'OTAN envoyé enquêter sur l'apparition de créatures hybrides dans la ville polonaise de Lubin. Le mélange est étrange et assumé : de la tactique à la Vandal Hearts greffée sur une ambiance et un bestiaire directement inspirés de Resident Evil. Pour un jeu de 1999, l'atmosphère tient encore parfaitement la route [*]♟️ Les combats au tour par tour offrent une vraie profondeur tactique : positionnement, gestion des lignes de tir, choix des armes selon le type d'ennemi. IGN saluait déjà à l'époque la variété des affrontements et le fait que ça aille au-delà des conventions RPG habituelles [*]🧪 La gestion des ressources est punitive dans le bon sens : munitions comptées, kits de soin rares, chaque combat perdu se paie cash.
