this game is very simple just a good looking rushing boss fight game reminds me of the few games i used to play that kinda looked like this and i love this game for it it seems dark and creepy you all should at least try it but it is very challenging once you get to the 2nd faze

Grimrush is a small top down action game that keeps things focused on one thing, fighting through a boss rush and trying to get the best score I can. Instead of giving me a long campaign with loads of normal enemies and filler levels, it throws seven different boss fights at me and expects me to learn how each one works. I can pick between three characters, choose a starting ability and then build up my character as I move through the run. I like that the game gets straight to the point because there is very little wasted time between the fights. The boss battles are easily the strongest part for me. Each of the seven bosses has its own attacks and patterns, so I cannot just use exactly the same approach every time. The order is also randomised, which means I have to adapt depending on which boss comes next rather than memorising one fixed campaign. After defeating a boss I get a choice of four random active or passive abilities, with the option to reroll twice. I like this system because it gives each run a slightly different build and makes me think about what would actually help me rather than simply following one upgrade path.
