Story:
A few weeks have passed since SORD successfully resolved the Kitaoka University terrorist incident - albeit with some sacrifices - when Murasaki's older sister Yuuki returns to Japan to rejoin Class A.
Being more sociable and capable than her sister, Yuuki immediately befriends the other students and builds a trusting relationship with them.
"There's no reason for me to be at Mihama anymore..."
As Murasaki starts questioning her raison d'etre, she reminisces about the time when she first met Haruto.
Lamenting his lack of experience, he had come to her village hidden deep in the mountains in search of new skills.
Where could he find this supposed "secret art" that is said to have been passed down for generations...?
"I'll never forgive you...!!"
"It's okay... Don't worry... I'm not... going anywhere... I'm here with you..."

This installment leans into a tenser, more mission-driven tone, emphasizing operational stakes and the psychological weight that follows the characters into quieter moments. The writing balances two competing goals: delivering a self-contained arc while also moving the larger Phantom Trigger storyline forward. Vol.5 tends to feel more focused than some earlier entries, with a clearer throughline that builds toward set-piece moments. The pacing is generally strong, though it still relies on the series’ trademark rhythm—calm character scenes punctuated by sudden spikes of violence. Character work remains a highlight. The cast has always been the core appeal of Phantom Trigger, and Vol.5 makes time to explore how each member processes stress, loyalty, and responsibility. A competent and fun VN, really showing off the strengths of the series with its character writing, and still suffering the flaws of the Phantom Trigger series in wanting to be ero yet settling for tame ecchi. (Murasaki's 'night assault' would've been so good if it went beyond just being ecchi). It's a tad weird how deep into fantasy this particular entry veers, given the more sci fi leaning of the main franchise, but its fine coz ninjas. Nin nin.1 found this helpful

I love this one!😊 The volume of this masterpiece focused another of my favourite characters added which is Yuuki and Murasaki!🔟/🔟 The childhood of the sisters and Haruto is very amazing and important one for the story too.😤
FrontWing scammed backers of its KickStarter/IndieGogo projects of their money, can no longer recommend the series.
