Hero Seekers

Honestly, better than I thought it would be. Story: It uses a generic Demon King story to tell a compelling loop tale. Ramsar and Ruwan, two spanning many years. Lunette who is not part of their history, and whose existence is linked to the Demon King. Character stories that follows their path to the Demon King, and ultimately their ends. As it goes along, it steadily reveals the Demon King is eternal. and pulled by the strings of another with the same power as Lunette. While it isn't extremely deep, it is one of the better stories told from Kemco. They actually gave her a personality which sticks, and the same to other characters as well. System: It uses the RPGmaker default stuff, I think except for some character models. That aside, the way character stories are done is similarly to how Valkyrie Profile Lenneth did it. Though, you summon the characters with memory stones. Those cannot be found until late game, and the chests that has them are one time. There is a limited pool of characters as well. Problem: Because it was designed for mobile, they did not change it to have an actual good way to obtain characters. You get two characters for story purposes, but the memor…

I don't have high expectations for games from this publisher or developer. Accordingly, my first impressions of this game are more negative than positive. On the positive side, there's the absence of pay-to-win items and in-game shops offering items that put the party into superhero mode. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The story sounds nice. You build a party from heroes of the past, whom you unlock gradually. But essentially, it's still the same old tank/attacker/healer/mage combination. The flashbacks about the individual heroes' fates are nice, but they add absolutely nothing to the game, as I haven't felt any real connection to any of my party members yet. Well, and everything else is just run-of-the-mill RPG Maker. I've seen it a hundred times before (and many times better). The party travels from one location to the next, having to overcome various dungeons and forests. To unlock further progress, you have to complete certain tasks (usually a dungeon). Before I get to the review of Hero Seekers, anyone that's ever played a Kemco game knows, they're mostly cheap decent games to scratch ur itch for turn-based JRPGs. Most of them are just decent BUT there are some that are really great games such as Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom, Crystal Ortha, Gale of Windoria, Justice Chronicles, Legend of the Tetrarchs, and my personal favorite(Monster Viator)! Review: Hero Seekers It's actually a solid game, you play as a girl that was a hero that slayed the Demon King to find out it was all a lie, there are also a lot more Heroes in the games(You get them thru summoning using Memory Stones) that also killed the Demon King kinda like a different timeline, but it was erased, so in order to save the world, you have to recover the memories again by going on a journey, picking up some heroes along the way, fighting demons and monsters, leveling up, fighting bosses etc. Summons: They're completely random, there are probably some Heroes you'd know right away if that's who you want, there's a way to prioritize to "Rolling the Hero" but again it's all luck so it could take you till near the end of the game to get that one Hero that you really want…
