"Hexdoku" is basically a failed for-profit ripoff of Sudoku, with two notable (but underwhelming) differences. Instead of a square 9x9 grid, you get an array of various hex layouts, and the numbers were swapped with symbols (if you think about it, the actual value of the numbers in Sudoku is irrelevant, all that matters is they are different from each other). The same rules as Sudoku apply, no doubling up in rows or groups, ho hum. It's a strange business model to try to compete with the back page of a newspaper for profit, but that's basically what this developer seriously tried to do. And, who could have seen it coming, failed abysmally. Here's another case where Itch failed. They have like, ONE job... to act as containment to prevent poorly made amateur shovelware from leaking out onto platforms where gamers might see them and lose hope in the gaming industry. But here we are. The participation trophies and hi-5's from the group hug weren't enough and some of the amateur drivel they're supposed to protect us from got out. While I couldn't find this on the mobile app stores, everything about it looks and feels like it's a mobile app designed for mobile phones... for P…

I really enjoyed this game! The puzzles are fun and challenging, the music is soothing, and the game is very fun to play. Also, I really like the bonus level after completing all of the puzzles where you get to spell out a thank you message. I definitely recommend this game!

Sudoku. But on a hex grid. With shapes instead of numbers. Good levels. That is it.

Interesting shape-based twist on the Sudoku formula. Judicious use of color makes it much more playable than other attempts to deviate from the traditional 3x3 grid. Good QoL, though some of it has to be turned on via the settings. Runs great on Steamplay.
