About HOMESICKNESS

A psychological computer game by jnity, assisted by celesware

WILL THE FAMILIAR FACES RETURN?

HOMESICKNESS is a solely developed point-and-click free-roam psychological horror game that delves into the depths and nuances of nostalgia and primitive online media.Step into the shoes of Theo as he explores the empty, desolate halls of CHILDREEF, making his way to the lower floors. With the Kids' Multi-tool, uncover hidden exits and find your way down as you attempt to make sense of what is happening.Explore, collect items, find special tools for survival, and overcome what awaits in the seemingly empty corridors of CHILDREEF.With each game over, things begin to change. Previously visited paths become blocked, and disorientation starts to set in.Keep an eye on unseen corners; you are not alone.

LEST THE UNSEEN CORNERS HARBOR HIDDEN TRUTHS

You play as young Theo, awakening in a place long forgotten. In his possession is a lone tape, left behind by a loved one who holds a place in his heart. The remnants of the tape serve as your only guide, leading you deeper into the daycare of CHILDREEF. As you listen to the tape's fragmented messages, clues begin to emerge. The voice that speaks on the other end is the one that will guide you. She waits for you to come, on your way down.
Great Short Game Experience
The game isn’t scary at all it’s more about tension than fear. The tension comes from those unexpected enemy encounters. Getting jumped by those weird looking enemies had me panicking like, “wtf am I supposed to do?” One enemy tells me to open my phone, another tells me to stfu… like hello? I just stood there and accepted my fate, kinda like that James Sunderland scene in Silent Hill 2 where he’s standing in the rain. This game has a serious difficulty spike. The first chapter had me thinking, “hmm, easy and chill horror game.” Then chapter 2 hits and boom I was dead wrong. Instead, I got raped by the enemies. The soundtrack is great and the art style is really solid. I love how the enemies look absurd and disturbing. Also, don’t worry if you die in this game, you’ll get some really interesting cutscenes.

Final Verdict: Short but tense, stylish, and worth the ride.

unforunately i would not recommend simply because of how floaty the UI is dying to something because your mouse feels like its stuck in butter is not entertaining game itself is semi interesting. only three main levels though besides the challenges I wouldn't really be super stoaked for the price though of paying for extra difficulty though thats just a me thing.

Seeing how many challenges there was after completing the main story impressed me especially with this being a clickteam game. The sit and survive gameplay thrives here and finding all the secrets was fun

It was mostly good. I'm gonna spoil some stuff in this review so if you plan on playing read with caution I guess. Now I don't know if it's that different in any of the stuff you unlock after beating the game but for the main campaign you basically traverse these areas that have progression items/door locks mixed around each time you die so you have to actually check the areas when retrying. I think the gameplay is neat. While exploring threats appear and you have to react to each one in a different way with the tools you have, and then once they're dealt with you go back to exploring. While I found like the more horror aspect of the game to be not that intense as it tells you how to deal with each threat, which you will deal with over and over repeatedly, I do think that the amount of stress does ramp up over the course of a level, and having taken a few attempts on the second one, I was very engaged whenever I made it towards the end. The first level kind of feels like more of a tutorial, and then the second one is more like the "real game" in a way. And then you get a third level that's short but mostly easy revolving around new mechanics (it crashed my game the f…

Its pretty good. the story mode itself is short and fun to play through and learn the mechanics, but the replay ability and challenge in the endgame content is great. the extra modes actually add more gameplay that most players won't experience if they only play the main story so I really recommend playing through all the game's content. I found the story hard to follow with the lack of context connecting the cutscenes and gameplay, but it seems interesting. I like the atmosphere and the game doesn't use cheap tricks to scare you like absurdly loud noises. Its legit anxiety through the whole process of getting task done and exploring the map.
