Hunter of Antiques is a 3D first person maze/platformer where you run around in a 3D dungeon of some kind which only has maybe 3 or 4 textures, which is very economical. Unfortunately there's not much to the game, and it crashed when loading the second level, so I really can't recommend this one. Certainly not worth $10.11 found this helpful
Very, very bad. I can endure this low-quality textures and lack of diversity in design. But when I got to one of the first stones where I needed to push it, it's just inactive and there's no other ways to play game further.9 found this helpful
Hunter of Antiques has one thing going for it, the presentation. FPS Creator games always have a really moody atmosphere due to the engine's ambient occlusion effect, which looks great even by today's standards. With high resolution textures and some well placed lighting, this game is probably visually the apex of FPSC games. The music adds a lot too, enabling the devs to hide the lack of detail in every map. Unfortunately, the engine's limitations are ultimately what hold the game back. This is a puzzle/platformer game, where one misstep can kill you. However loading screens can take upwards of 30+ seconds, which is simply too long for a game like this. Unity would load the same map in less than 4 seconds easily. The game has no auto-save system either, so if you start to read a book or catch up on your favorite TV show, find your soulmate, get married etc during the excruciatingly long load times and accidentally forget about saving, you will start over from the beginning. Not to mention, since you can raise a child during all the loading, it's easy to forget what to do during certain platforming sections, resulting in even more deaths, and even more loading screens. Fiddled with it a bit on and off - got stuck at the end of the second level - and I strongly suspect its just plain broken. Also, music is loud and annoying and there are no separate controls, which might be why I just can't bear to attempt to get unstuck again.1 found this helpful
You don't even hunt any antiques and all the puzzles are just guessing games, or maybe i'm dumb. I guess both can be true.1 found this helpful
