This game seemed awesome, and everywhere they make it look like its playable in english. Since i purchased the full package and launched, its in chinese.... With no option to change the language, even if english is selected in game property's it stays chinese.... such a big dissapointment. Will change review once i can play the english version as "advertised"! Please devs fix this......would love to support you.

City of God I - Prison Empire is an ambitious management and strategy game that takes the familiar idea of running a correctional facility and expands it into something much broader, stranger, and considerably darker. It NEEDS rebindable controls for the open world (character control) segments and prison menus otherwise its an interesting prison management/empire game with some fun RPG and open world parts thrown in, The English is complete trash however the attempt was there so with a little guess work you might be able to work it out. if i could i'd give it a neutral review given its price tag and terrible English translation. i recommend it for non rebinders and when its on sale but know that you can no longer get certain DLC so if you're the 100% type then unfortunately get used to seeing the Greyed out DLC symbols. The game is essentially a "Sim City" for a prison... The game itself is probably okay with an interesting (though initially confusing) user interface that presumably adds enough details to the game to make it interesting to someone looking for a simulation type game. The game is unplayable on my primary gaming system (Alien Aurora connected to an 80" 4K TV)... The graphics are tiny even in full screen mode... In order to read the text (which is 90% of the game) I had to stand like a foot from the TV and occasionally had to lean forward to read the small text... Maybe if you are sitting at a normal laptop or desk top and the screen is close enough and large enough the interface wouldn't be so annoying... and maybe this will get addressed in a later update that fully supports 4K resolutions? But basically I'm uninstalling the game within an hour of installing it... My second complaint is that this was bought through a "Mystery RPG Bundle" from Fanatical - I know, steam has no control over that and the complaint is primarily to Fanatical and not Steam - but the game is "tagged" as RPG... that stretch makes zero sense. Loads of storyline DLCs. Got mixed feeling about them. Of course it is great that there are something else than cosmetics, but got feeling that game wouldn't feel complete without them. Never found reason to get them though, because.... After three hours didn't quite catch what I was supposed to do in this game. Part of the difficulty is that text is just few pixels in size. I don't know if it is byproduct of translation but irritating and UI doesn't feel that intuitive. Nevertheless, game I'd like to play if polished little more.

What the absolute ♥♥♥♥. This game is insane. I've never seen a more horrifically offensive bundle of stereotypes of Americans. I mean, it doesn't even try to be culturally accurate or sensi... oh. Oh wait a second. Oh ♥♥♥♥. We have this coming, don't we? Yeah, we deserve this. As the world takes an Eastern turn, as the rest of the world finds their voice, it's going to be time for payback on Orientalism and our exceptionalism, isn't it? Now it's our turn to be rendered in weird stereotypes that appeal to other cultures, to be fetishized in weird-ass ways. Yeah, this is the game we deserve. I'll play it as a matter of penance.
