It's an arms race with each planet developing increasingly powerful weapons. Gigantic railgun batteries are the backbone of any interplanetary arsenal, but the cunning use of missiles and precision lasers may just hold the key to victory. Strategic build patterns, upgrades and defense structures might keep your vital installations standing long enough to give you an edge, but it's only a matter of time until all but one will fall.
Sometimes, your greatest foe is the planetary system itself! Don't let the unpredictable gravitational changes get the better of you—observe your surroundings, use them to your advantage, and blast your enemies back to the Stone Age!

Interplanetary: Enhanced Edition, is a revised version of the original Interplanetary.
The no longer supported original is included in the Enhanced Edition for free, for the purposes of historical preservation and (hopefully) flattering comparison.
The Enhanced Edition features include: Online AI Bots, Elliptic Orbits, Quick Targeting Mode, New Buildings, rebalancing and general fixes and improvements across the board.

To start off, the central idea of this game is very interesting; a solar system full of planets in a battle-royal to the death is *very* compelling as a concept, and the bones of the game are fundamentally pretty good; there are a variety of weapons systems with different buffs and debuffs, counters for those systems, and an intelligence system that lets you potentially leapfrog ahead of your opponents with clever planning, along with a counter-intelligence system to defeat that approach. The end result is that there are a number of different playstyles available, from just trying to spam as many shots as possible to carefully inspecting your opponent's weaknesses and attempting to counter them directly, and there are ways to play *against* that spectrum of playstyles. Unfortunately, in spite of those good bones and interesting concepts, this game kinda sucks because it manages to both be too complicated and not complicated enough. To explain, there are basically two ways that you could run this type of a game; as a quick match arcade style game or as a slower-paced strategy game.
