Jump Space

Everything about the game feels good, but I can't recommend it on the simple fact that there's far too little content. I've only played 7 hours but I'm already over the repetitive missions. I only play it with a buddy of mine and it's actually crazy how many of the exact same missions we've done. Same freighter in need of killing pirates "you can have some of my cargo" yes, we know. Same warehouse where we need to be both players to open containers before reinforment arrives. Same big ship which needs to be fixed, then recharged with power, so it can fly away. They've definitely improved over the course of the EA, but it's still not in a spot where I'd recommend it. There's lots of potential.

Been a while since I touched this game, but scrolling through my game library I might pick it back up again and for good reason. This game is genuinely peak Sci-fi, built for co-op play and yet It doesn't punish you for being a solo. Honestly, it almost encourages it. The game is more than possible to run missions alone while keeping it fun and challenging, the space around you also feels HUGE without being empty. I love this about the game because space is HUGE and in a game like this not feeling alone while being alone is an achievement worth mentioning. Missions though slow in the beginning, really ramp up after you learn the basics of the game. Every moment feels intense without being stressful even in what might be considered the "boring" missions / events and at no point did I find myself lacking in something to do ESPECIALLY as a solo. No matter what's happening I was forced to act and react to each and every environmental or anthropogenic event and that's a really cool thing in a sci-fi explorer as small as this (small as in development). The game is unique and fun, I always have a blast playing it, especially with friends, but I'm leaving a positive review for the Devs. This is the only game that I am always happy to see needs an update when I open steam because I know they are making real active changes the community wants. Revamped looting, upgrading, inventory, on foot combat, space combat, and addressing bugs to name a few. They really seem to listen to what the community asks for and address it quickly. Almost every update will address something I personally thought was a top 5 thing that needed addressing. Its refreshing to see an early access game with a dev team that seems to actually care about the game and the players.

82 Hours and I never bothered to write a review until now, probably shows how fun this game can be. Basically take something like Warframe's Railjack and/or Barotrauma's Submarine gameplay stuff, add on Titanfall esq movement and now quite frankly fun enemy modifiers at higher difficulties with looter shooter guns and progression alongside roguelite-ish missions.

The game have evolved a lot during this first year of early access. Some issues mentionned on negative reviews have been fixed now. I recommande to give it a try. 2h is enough to let you judge if it's a hit or miss for you. Don't hesitate to do a feedback and discuss with the devs on the discord !
