It's a good game. I don't know what all the cry baby's are talking about. the JC series is supposed to be crazy outrageous and fun. This is all of that. PS If you are reading a review of a cry baby talking about performance, they are playing on a potato. the performance is great. and has been for years! So don't trust those reviews.1 found this helpful
Crashing, bugs, blurry graphics with bad motion blur, terrible vehicle handling, annoying grapple cooldown, repetitive defend/escort/hack missions, empty world, limited ammo, and clunky UI. Frustrating and not fun.
It's a really good game to play especially if you grab it on sale. I kind of understand the hate around the changed style of progression from liberating camps to regions by doing missions but this alone imo shouldn't stop you from having fun. JC4 is exactly what JC3 is at it's main core - a sandbox where you are encouraged to blow ♥♥♥♥ up, move around like Spider-man and unlock new toys to play around with. The story is the same as before, you're Rico, bad guy trying to exploit people, liberate people, eliminate bad guy. Pretty easy to follow. The graphics are improved, and it felt like the challenges this time around are more than before albeit different style and more focused on stunts and imagination than chasing some specific race outcome. The only thing I missed is the challenge for highscore of blowing camps. The DLC's are okay-ish - they're not tied to the main game at all and feel like additional challenges for the sake of more content. TLDR: I was looking forward to playing JC4 each day, so that should tell you enough
THIS IS THE BEST OPENWORLD GAME IVE EVER PLAYED! aftergta xd
I was skeptical of the reviews bc i enjoyed just cause 3, and curiously picked up this game to see its evolution. The negatives of this game are justified, the gimmick is bad as is performance. Constant stutters despite outside optimizations and fixes. UI is clunky and the base destruction mechanic is boring braindead unlike the fun braindead in just cause 3. You don't capture bases anymore instead just run around find ammo, shoot one destructible. Find ammo, shoot enemies, find ammo, find more ammo, shoot a destructible, find ammo, kill enemies. Do this 100+ more times until you unlock a main mission. Rinse and Repeat. Why make ammo so scarce in a just cause game in fact this was my biggest issue and made the game unplayable. If they allocated a normal amount of ammo or, made the supply drop mechanical to re up on gear functional, The loop could have improved and there could be a mid game hidden under the jank worth playing. The game is so laughably broken as I type this review, the trailer footage plays above me there is in-game stuttering in the trailer. Its so bad. I even downloaded a mod fix for the ammo, and it was a coinflip if it would work or not. Absurdly tedious game.…
