Lorn's Lure

I suppose it's a me problem but hear me out here... I've played the Prologue of this game a while back and I was really invested into it. I fell in love with the visuals immediately and enjoyed doing everything that was possible in that demo. But for the final release? Complete opposite reaction. It is a great game but I still think it has quite the salty price for Parkour of all things so I did end up refunding it.

An overall really fun experience. The overall presentation make me want to call this a meditative traversal game, but the difficulty begins to ramp quite steeply after the first few levels. Lorns Lure will begin to test you soon after playing, and you'll need to figure out the finer points of the mechanics yourself. If you like challenge, go for it. If you wanted something peaceful there is an "Explorer Mode", but know the experience was initially constructed around it's difficulty.

very simple but good gameplay loop, incredible worldbuilding. the story is easily ignored or missed, kind of in a good way. solid story overall.

Great, difficult game, but damn the last two levels were especially punishing...

In brief, this was an absolutely incredible game. I had a lot of fun playing it. The easy pausing and resuming made it great. However, the last chapter is a different game. Full stop. So... that's unfortunate. There's a certain expectation I walked into each session with, and that chapter definitely disappointed. But the game is still worth playing overall. I'd just consider the last chapter a bonus level of sorts. I loved how many of the puzzles had a variety of solutions. It was also neat how each new mechanic built on the previous ones. Thus, some puzzles could be solved by a simple sequence of basic actions or a complex sequence of stacked abilities. In other cases, the puzzles appeared to be carefully crafted to develop new understandings of old or recent mechanics, demonstrating an obvious understanding of how to teach well, which I appreciated. It meant that nothing really stagnated, and I eventually used everything, despite the occasional immediate reaction of, "I don't like that because it's not familiar; I won't use it." its a nice game, gives me the BLAME! feeling. i´m at the beginnig from chapter 2 and i think its gonna get way harder, so prepare for a lot of fails lol
