In Lumber Jax, every tree, boss, upgrade, relic, and prestige pushes you deeper into the woods. Start with simple clicks and humble tools, then grow into a powerful chopping machine with idle crews, critical hits, rare encounters, equipment drops, class bonuses, and long-term progression systems. The forest will not stay calm forever. If you enjoy idle games, this one does exactly what it promises. The progression loop is simple but satisfying, and the numbers get big fast. I like that it keeps giving you new upgrades just when you think you’ve hit a wall. The art and UI are clean and nothing feels overly complicated. If you are looking for a quick, easy and fun game I recommend giving this one a go. Plays well on the Steam Deck and is great for those quick fix gaming sessions. With the prestige, gear and other systems it also gives you lots to explore and tinker with.2 found this helpful

I wanted to leave a review to just let others like myself (older & not a huge game player) know that with 5hrs of game play (not in 1 day) i actually like it. It's easy to follow & after a slow start I realised my older laptop system was the problem. But with an update it fixed the lag & I'm back on again. I like the characters and different levels together with being able to build a team of choppers etc was great. As well as the background music which is a nice touch also. Found this game while browsing through Steam looking for something quick and easy to play. Safe to say I have been very impressed so far. Not only from the game itself but from the prompt nature in which all minor issues that are common for new games have been dealt with, and the open communication from the developer that is often lacking in modern games. The game itself is a fun and rewarding experience, where there are tangible changes from levelling up and eventually working your way towards the boss battles. I will definitely keep playing it over the next few weeks in my down time from work. Great effort from a small game creator!2 found this helpful
