✦ AI summary

Wake up trapped in a virus-stricken hospital with up to 3 friends and fight to escape while solving puzzles and avoiding horrifying mutated creatures lurking in every corner. Each playthrough delivers fresh challenges with randomized puzzles and proximity voice chat that lets you team up with strangers or friends to uncover the outbreak's dark mystery.

Malpractice is an Online Co-Op Horror Experience for up to 4 players. You and your friends wake up in a plagued hospital where a terrible virus has begun to spread. Your task is find a way out, and not lose your life in the process. Solve puzzles, Discover secrets, and avoid corrupted entities as you uncover the mystery behind the outbreak.

The spread of the virus has fatal effects on most hosts, however a small few cases yielded horrifying outcomes as its host becomes terribly mutated and animalistic in its attempt to fight off the virus, You and your friends will need to be careful as you make your way throughout the hospital. Something could be lurking behind any corner.

In an attempt to halt the rapid spread of the virus, the hospital has gone in to a lockdown protocol. In combination with avoiding the looming threats throughout the various rooms and halls, You and your friend will need to solve various unique puzzles and piece together clues in order to make your way to safety.

Utilize the Inventory system to collect and distribute key items, tools, and weaponry that will aid you in finding a way out.

Play alongside up to 4 friends and work together to discover a way out. With a vast set of puzzles within the game, each player is likely to experience a new set of challenges on each playthrough. Proximity voice chat is included, allowing players to join and interact not only with their friends, but with anyone looking to play.

Malpractice, developed and published by SmiiggyB, is a cooperative survival horror game that builds its identity around teamwork, tension, and environmental storytelling. Set inside a quarantined hospital consumed by a mysterious infection, it places players in a vulnerable situation where survival depends not only on individual awareness but on effective coordination with others. The premise is familiar within the horror genre, but the game distinguishes itself through its emphasis on shared experience rather than solitary fear. The gameplay revolves around exploration and puzzle-solving under constant threat. Players must search for key items, unlock new areas, and piece together objectives while navigating dark, claustrophobic hallways filled with hostile entities. The hospital setting works well as a confined, maze-like environment, where limited visibility and tight spaces amplify tension. Progress is rarely straightforward, requiring players to communicate, divide responsibilities, and manage limited resources. Inventory decisions become important, as carrying the right tools at the right time can mean the difference between escaping a dangerous situation or being caught off…

Kind of. It's not an amazing game, but it's not an incomplete game. It's an introduction to horror/puzzle games. There's a handful of bugs and in COOP many ways to get the monsters distracted on the long term while other players look for solution. The story is not original and predictable. Dying later in the game isn't a huge set back as you can open access back to where you were. In my option $10 is too expensive, so if you can get it at 50% it can waste a few hours.

This game is complete garbage, there are no respawn checkpoints so you have to run back from the start every time you die, the monsters don't actually behave how they're described. One monster is blind but "hears" well, yet it will home straight to you even when crouched. Another is "repelled" by the fire extinguishers, but it actually doesnt care at all and will kill you through it. The puzzles are poorly explained, one of them is so cryptic the dev had to explain it in a thread in discussions and that's the only way anyone is ever going to figure it out. Don't waste your money unless you're torturing friends by making them play with you. Edit to add that pretty much every positive reviews are from accounts with only 1 review... Being this game. Most likely friends and family of the dev who have Steam accounts and got the game for free and didnt mark it.

Malpractice has good ideas and puzzles, but is severely hurt by multiplayer bugginess (items states not shared with all players, items states different between players), bugs, and a need for additional polish. Try the demo and then don't play the rest of the game unless it's been updated.

Me and My Brother enjoyed the jumpscares in this game—they gave us chills! However, there are still some bugs, and the puzzles on the map for making healing potions are a bit complicated. Overall, we enjoyed the game!
