i need this game injected into my veins2 found this helpful
Take a series I already like, made by devs I already respect, starring a character I already love, then refine the HELL out of that character and make the gameplay absolutely insane. Needless to say, I love this game and it's easily my favorite in the series, if you like the Gunvolt series then this game's definitely cool as well. Play it.1 found this helpful
If you've played Gunvolt 2, this is nearly an identical 1 for 1 of Copen's playstyle minus the requirement of upgrade points. The biggest difference is that the level design in this game is centered around Copen's movement and it overall feels a lot better to play. (Apparently, the control on Bullit Dashes is different according to the options menu of iX2 which has options for the way they work in GV2 and in iX1. I couldn't feel any differences myself but apparently they changed how the controls on them work under the hood. This game is peak Copen gameplay. Perfectly designed levels and EX weapons that all have their use cases make this probably the best game in the Gunvolt canon/series. I would still recommend playing those, but this game is the standout out.1 found this helpful
Having played all of the Gunvolt games back to back, this felt like a godsend after the... GV3 that was GV3. It's basically GV concentrate, from the gameplay to the lore to the music, everything. Copen's gameplay is extremely smooth and they use the alternate timeline gimmick very well, even if the final boss is a little easy.
Very fun game. The Bullit feature that allows you to avoid taking damage, dash around, and reload are all fun features. Copen's quick movement is the highlight of the game and It's fun to just zoom around. The final boss is however a huge pain and a very large difficulty spike - especially if you've been cheesing your way through the rest of the game by abusing the bullit system.
playing this game smoothly on my school's low end pc while bros watching and said "this guy play a megaman-like game" is wild
