About Newt's Voyage
Newt Isaacson sets out on another adventure exploring many of our solar system's moons, collecting samples, and experiencing the unique environments each holds.
Newt's Voyage is a newtonian physics based 2D flying game where you're tasked with landing on tricky safe zones while avoiding touching the moon surface, or slamming into any obstacles. You'll need to control your momentum carefully while conserving enough fuel to finish the mission with a good score.
Explore the popular moons of Phobos, Titan, Enceladus, Europa, IO, and of course Earth's Moon, experiencing their unique gravity and environment.

"Newt's Voyage" is a poor quality ripoff of Lunar Lander made for iPhones where you fly a spaceship using weak propulsion pseudo-physics through various 2D levels for no real interesting reason, which goes perfectly with the gameplay not being interesting either. This is a mobile app... it doesn't matter if this was ported to PC before or after the app store release, or even if this didn't even make it to the app stores. This is built for the absolutely lowest of all gaming platforms and must be judged as such... it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. The graphics are lacklustre because this was designed for mobile phones, not gaming PCs. Whenever a product is designed to run tolerably on 5 year old iPhones, it's obviously not going to come close to the minimum quality standards that PC gaming enthusiasts except on their cutting edge gaming rigs. One more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. PC gamers don't spend thousands on their gaming rigs so they…
"Newt's Voyage" — это тщательно продуманное расследование, где каждый шаг игроку предстоит разобраться в загадках прошлого. График отличается глубиной и атмосферой, а механики сочетают логику и инновации. Хотя некоторые моменты требуют времени и аналитики, игра не перегружает, а заставляет задуматься. Эмоциональная глубина и уникальные сюжетные элементы делают её не только интересной, но и запоминающейся. Всё в лучшем виде — это не просто игра, а опыт, который оставляет после себя.
The game is luna lander-ish. very clinical and very unforgiving. Get all 20 items needed, just touch something with your craft and boom. It is mostly well done but to me playable in only very small doses. A little bit more forgiving would make a big difference.
Apparently this was made by some group affiliated with the University of Wisconsin and it's supposed to be educational. The first thing I learned is that I don't have the patience for this kind of game. I guess I can't blame the game for that completely, though. Basically you maneuver various little ships around an obstacle course and try not run into stuff; and there's not much room for error here, let me tell you. If you so much as brush the tiniest particle of any other object your ship instantly explodes in a pyrotechnic shower of debris. The key is not to focus 100% on it or else your head will explode, too. What you need to do is put something on in the background that takes up about half of your attention and then you'll sail right through. I don't know why, but it works. The brain is a funny thing. Seems like they want to teach you about gravity or momentum or the moons of the solar system or something, but it ends up being more of a lesson in applied neuroscience. You'll definitely get better if you stick with it, so it must be doing something. Anyway, it's really not a bad game. Looks good. Sounds good. Plays smoothly; but they have some pretty high expec…
A fun little game. Very quickly ramps into some punishing difficulty if you’re going for 100% completion with the harder ships, but if you’re just along for the ride completing the levels with the “Easy” spaceship is perfectly doable.
