About Obliteracy
Obliteracy is a word game set in a utopian future where energy is generated from language itself. Word-warriors pilot enormous mechanized robots in a tournament to prove themselves worthy of the title of Champion—and to earn the chance to craft the future of the world.
Obliteracy's core gameplay mixes the familiar mechanics of tile-based word games with a variety of bonuses, board configurations, and contenders to create a fresh, dynamic challenge in every match. Players choose from one of eight different playable challengers, each with distinctive strengths, weaknesses, skills and play styles. Battles are fought using wildly varying tile sets, each with its own configuration of powerup tiles that can boost damage and energy gain. Each character has their own unique set of special attacks which, properly used, can instantly turn the tide of a pitched struggle.
In Story Mode, players face increasingly challenging opponents in eight distinct and engrossing story arcs, all culminating in battles against the Codexicron, the artificially-intelligent repository of humanity's knowledge and creator of the tournament. Multiplayer lets you challenge friends and strangers from across the globe in single-match play,and Quick Play drops you into a randomly generated encounter that adapts over time to match your skill level.
With dozens of board configurations and character matchups, Obliteracy demands quick wit and constantly evolving strategies to ensure victory.

yeah so i played this on mobile and it was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. too bad it doesnt count spain as a real word
Игра 'Obliteracy' – это неожиданно увлекательный и глубокий опыт, несмотря на свой кажущийся минимализм. Идея манипулирования буквами для решения головоломок гениальна в своей простоте. Каждый уровень заставляет по-новому взглянуть на знакомые слова, выстраивая из них мостики к новым смыслам. Визуальное оформление игры, хоть и аскетичное, отлично работает на атмосферу задумчивости и концентрации. Музыкальное сопровождение ненавязчиво подчеркивает настроение каждого этапа, делая процесс еще более медитативным. Головоломки становятся все сложнее и сложнее, что требует не только хорошего словарного запаса, но и креативного мышления. Иногда решение приходит неожиданно, после долгого размышления, и это приносит неподдельное чувство удовлетворения. Единственный небольшой минус – иногда отсутствие подсказок может завести в тупик. Но в целом, 'Obliteracy' – это отличный выбор для тех, кто любит умные головоломки и готов поломать голову над лингвистическими задачками. Рекомендую!
Play this for profile letters instead of buying ZUP! with its dismal gameplay. Ni-ger is a word but Nigerians is not, but "pekans" and "zoa" are. Game, make up your mind about names too, please: "Tim" is not allowed but "Sean" is? Why? What's so great about Sean that Tim lacks? "Dover" is also not allowed; what cliffs will The Decemberists fling themselves romantically over now, then, game? Otherwise, surprisingly tense and engaging gameplay! Several times so far I've fretted throughout about whether I could scrape by or not (one Empath match I barely won with 78 hp left) and I'm only on the first character campaign. I love that the strategy is more balancing damage between energy pick up rather than typing the longest word you can think of, and that sometimes solely focusing on damage maximization may not win you the match. Plus, I learned that a pekan is a fisher bird and the word stimy/stimie/stymie (and its many incongruous spellings) so gotta say that's the first time a battle-bot game ever burgeoned my [strike]vocab[/strike] "parlance". Edit: Steam dictionary has its own issues so, y'know, maybe setting up a dictionary is hard?
Impressive word game, especially for a free to play title. Single player is centred around multiple shorter playthroughs with characters of differing abilities offering slightly different challenges each time. This offers some replay-ability without quite having the staying power of something like Letter Quest.
