Quadrilateral Cowboy is a fantastic and unforgettable game. This is something every imsim fan should play. It touched me in a way few games do, inspiring new thoughts about game design, what's possible, and what should be.3 found this helpful
Interesting decal comedy style isn't enough to keep this game enticing. Barren saccharine hacking imsim that is effectively a sneaky timing puzzle. No grit or edge or flawed personality outlook, not much human emotion at all. Thank heavens the ingame terminal has auto complete and recent command memory + shortcuts. Avoids the age old bruality workaround of most 'stealth' games by completely preventing any sort of violence, no human enemies. Inconsistent and confusing use of leftclick and rightclick that differs between cyberdeck and any other placeable. Problem with this decision is that the human feeling of threat is completely abstracted out, nothing feels tense or motivating or stirs any instinctual survival. Biggest mistake is the choice or lack thereof of suitable music throughout the entire game.1 found this helpful

Worth playing, a unique heist game
This game offers very unique hacking gameplay and mechanics. Each heist is a puzzle solved with your increasing array of tools, and they're quite satisfying to solve. The game's environments are highly interactable, which encourages creativity in getting into areas and completing missions. The gameplay falls a bit short of its full potential, however. The game would've benefitted from additional, more complex missions that really make the most out of all of its pieces. While what is in the title is really enjoyable, another game using the same mechanics or a mod could eventually deliver on what Quadrilateral Cowboy falls just shy of. The visual design is effective at communicating the function of game elements. The presentation is certainly memorable, offering an analog sci-fi/spy thriller aesthetic found only in other Blendo Games titles. However, some elements fall a bit short, such as tall buildings clearly cutting off at the bottom of the map or the occasional empty background. While it's likely these are in part limitations of the id Tech 4 engine, they're distracting in a game where most levels are set on top of skyscrapers. Regardless, the presentation is otherwise so idio…
