Rogue Hex

Excellent little gem. Much better than competitors (ie: Hexarchy). The deckbuilding and the actions on the map are very well made. The progression is rewarding, and there are several strategies that you can choose. It's also the classic "One more turn, one more turn". Very addictive. A pity that there's not too much content, only one kind of map, only playing against barbarians, only three actual "leaders" Would like to see dlcs or a rogue hex 2 in the future, but it seems unlikely

There is something about Rogue Hex that resonates me in a big way. I felt a need to write this. There are other games one may find on Steam like this, and I can also highly rate them. It has likely became its own niche genre. There are various minor issues I can say I have (maybe polish I guess), and prefer to be different in some ways. However, the collective whole bring in deckbuilding also with streamlined Civ, makes it stay on my harddrive and return. What I will say is the promo video nails it. One will say this and that being off, but for me, it is a keeper, even if it has others. This is taking the expense as a whole.

Absolutely fantastic blend of 4x and roguelite

The card game adds a unique twist to a Civ-style game that gives the genre a much needed refresh. I went into this a bur skeptical, but I'm glad I got it. Give it a chance if you're on the fence.

Love this game. Took me a few games to really start putting it all together. Looking forward to additional leaders hopefully!
