What Steam players say

Players praise the game's fun deck-building mechanics and engaging "just one more turn" gameplay that blends civilization-building with card synergies, though some compare it favorably to Slay the Spire. Common criticisms include AI-generated icons that clash with the otherwise polished aesthetic, shallow roguelite design that lacks replay value once you win, and heavy reliance on RNG that can make runs feel unwinnable if you miss key tech cards. Most recommend it as a casual, budget-friendly experience rather than a deep strategy game.
Buy on sale. Fun but shallow. Great for a potato. I like the concept but it is basically a mobile game on PC. RNG is key and if you fail to get a key tech that lets you exploit a key resource you will be screwed. Nevertheless, the game is pretty easy if you are familiar with 4x games at all. I feel like the Roguelite element needs a ton of work for it to truly be considered as one. It is entirely possible that I have just played till I won and then found no reason to continue but I found no reason to keep playing once I won. With most Roguelikes, the games are hard enough to require many rounds and different strategies thus providing a reason to play again. Here I felt like I stumbled into victory by simply taking on as many camps as possible.3 found this helpful
Excellent Game. I'm amazed this was the work of one person. Eveerything is fun. Dont let the cave trolls whining about AI art get to you, this game is exellebt. This guy should be snatched up by a mainstream studio!1 found this helpful
Clever design. Difficulty needs to ramp up more quickly.1 found this helpful
Very fun little game. Cross of civilization and a card deck builder. High 'just one more turn' rating.1 found this helpful
A great combination between Slay the Spire and Civ (the ones that don't suck)1 found this helpful
Got this Bundled with other games. Game is fine in fun. Cool card synergies. Tutorial is just a full game with some tips so just be prepared to take the full time. Can't recommend cause of the AI art for the icons really detracts from the easy on the eyes style the game otherwise has. The maker does disclose the use of AI so thanks for that. If the game gets icons for its level ups consistent with the rest of the UI it would be a thumbs up from me.1 found this helpful
