Thousands of retro 2D platformers are infesting Steam, and "RuneShroom" is just more pollution in a crowded market of terrible games. There are over 17,000 platformers on Steam, literally thousands (you can go see for yourself if you search for the platformer tag on the store, I'm not kidding). The main issue with this game imo are the controls. Controller support could've mitigated things. Besides that I enjoyed the soundtrack and what little of the first stage I could get thru. I'll still give it a thumb up as others may not have issue with the controls. Gameplay here: https://youtu.be/M37lrPodKTQ
