At first it seemed like a n idle game back it does things in a different way incorperating a sort of level system. fully upgrading your tree is required to beat most levels and even turning off certain upgrades is required too

its fun I love games with skil trees it can get a little grindey at experiment 4 but still fun

Very nice and cozy game. The art style of interactive lab equipement is great. The game progression is also well done, each stage is balanced to the point where you don't need to fill up whole previous section to start another one, but you cant really finish next one. The music is also nice and did not get tired of it. And this is quite good for a single stream. Was able to 100% in 3h:30m . Good job devs!

I had a good time with this little gem! There were some experiments that made me have to genuinely think about how to succeed and mess around with the simulation settings. Eventually there does seem to be an optimal way to play, but by that point the game is nearly over and it feels like a power trip, and the insanity of the last gene is a sight to behold. The writing/translation can be a little awkward at times, and there was a moment or two where i was frustrated at slow progress, but it wasn't a problem at the end of the day. The only really unfortunate thing is how the game can start to chug near the end with how many "entities" (not just the creatures) exist and take up your GPU, but again you're nearly done at that point. My only wish is that there were more moments/experiments where I had to figure things out rather than just keep pushing through the tree, and times/ways where I could optimize settings, but for the size of the game I can't truly complain. I say to give it a go if you're on the fence! Its personality sealed the deal for me <3

Unique style and fun mechanics. Some traits are less clear than others in how to best use them and took a bit more trial and error, but overall an enjoyable way to pass a few hours.

[h2]"For Science!"[/h2] [i]Simultree[/i] is a unique incremental game where you experiment on organisms that resemble pac-man. Test different genetic traits to accomplish the goals and prove you're not completely incompetent. I love the concept, and I love how there's actually some strategy involved in completing the goals, unlike most incrementals where you just play on autopilot to advance the skill tree. In this game, you actually have to utilize the right combinations in order to progress, you can't just brute force anything. There's even a drawing tool, where you can make art, which I found to be quite random, but it's neat and I've seen some pretty impressive artwork so far, so it's a very welcome feature at that. Definitely one of the more unique incrementals I've played, and while the game is slow at the start, it picks up and becomes very enjoyable the further you get, absolutely recommend it.
