About Smelted Kin

A long journey awaits you through the large locations of the planetary station. Each level contains a unique design, unusual mechanical creatures and secret areas.

You have to find out why the entire research complex fell into decay and find a way to get out of it. Battles with robots will be an indispensable attribute of the entire game, and the passage of many areas will require finding the optimal tactics

A special humanoid robot will accompany you on the journey. If you can overcome all the difficulties of the adventure, you will meet a living being, one of those who inhabit the planet

Features:

 • Huge, non-linear locations full of robots and an aggressive environment.
 • Dark atmosphere of the decaying complex, where progress requires caution and exploration of the surrounding area
 • Get your own drone that will help you in battle throughout the game
 • Transform one of the robots into a vehicle and make the final journey on it

With no reviews I knew I was gambling when buying this, but with the refund option available it isn't too much of a risk really unlike the time when I bought red goblin cursed forest. Unfortunately, this game is just too unintuitive. The controls in particular are atrocious with both gamepad and keyboard controls being an unworkable disaster. This should have used a mouse for aiming and indeed many of the keyboard bindings seem geared towards this style of gameplay but the mouse isn't used at all outside the main screen. Oh and that reminds me, you can't properly change keyboard binds once you've started playing, you have to quit to the menu and change there. Again, a disaster. The maker of this game seems to be aware of how unintuitive the game is because there are actually written messages indicating what is hidden beyond reach when you reach your typical metroidvania barrier. Overall, this is a good first attempt for microbat studios, but not good enough for a recommendation. I hope microbat can learn from the mistakes made in this first attempt when he/she makes their next game. Time for me to refund...

cool idea ruined by some bafflingly awful decisions. Some of the big ones for me are the levels are littered with randomly spawning explosives that seem to exist solely to steal a huge chunk of health, as well as the spawner doors that can only be destroyed waiting for the drone to slowly chip away at it while the physical door that should be in the background is capable of absorbing your shots which can lead to you getting awkwardly boxed in at times. This game hates you and wants you to lose, with the ease of death you also lose money for permanent upgrades with seems counter-productive where failure should lead to being able to save up for upgrades and ammo to help players suffering constant death instead of draining them so thoroughly to the point of feeling like there's no chance to ever progress. This feeling is compounded by how much of a guessing game everything feels like, with the map being almost completely useless not marking any landmarks except for a handful of specific doors, not even elevators are marked. I'm only in the second area and feel utterly stumped by only having one clue and having to guess where I can and can't go while the constant threat of a cheap dea…

lost in space Science fiction 2D shooter with platformer and metroidvania elements. Players will have to explore a huge research complex consisting of nonlinear levels, which is crowded with robots. This is true. First, I was a bit confused. Then I was still confused but learned about the level design. After you get to buy the map, it's much easier. Between the levels, there are elevators. You can break walls on some parts. There are also doors which require blue, yellow and so on keys. Remember the locations of the doors. Best make a screenshot. I found the blue door and uploaded a screenshot. I also created a guide to collect info. So far, I really like the game. Especially the fact that the devs released a DEMO. You can try if you like it. There is also a DEMO for their upcoming game, which I'm really looking forward to. my guide https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2891965242 The station is build like this: E-0 E-1 E-2 E-3 E-4 E-5

Eh, it's not great, but I enjoyed it enough, and what else can you ask of a game I got for $0.99 in card monies? Get it on deep sale if you need to scratch that metroidvania itch on the (very) cheap.

Cool short game i got on sale made by two guys, it plays well, might feel weird at first but once you get accostumed, it plays really nice. Levels are well designed, limited arsenal and enemy roster when compared to other games, but if you play this once every 4 months, these dont get old and the campaign will not take that long to beat. it took me 9 hours (+4h i spent doing something else). The game doesn't feel unfinished or unpolished, but further updates to give the game some NG+ and extra content would be cool while the second is being made. An an extra mode too or change how the weapon upgrade system works.
