About Star Scum
PLAY, THEN COMMAND!
Star Scum fuses deckbuilding with crunchy, grid-based tactics. The cards in your deck are your units, ship equipment and items. Each turn, you must balance your command points between playing cards onto the board and directing units and equipment already in play.TOTAL DECKBUILDING FREEDOM
The game includes 4 different factions with unique play styles and sets of cards, but you can mix and match cards from all of them to discover unexpected strategies and card synergies. You can take cards from your opponent's decks after defeating them in battle in the roguelike run or build custom decks from any of the cards in the game in the custom battle and multiplayer modes.DEVIOUS OPPONENTS
Your opponents are playing the same game as you. The enemy ships you fight against are decks procedurally generated from the same pool of cards that you have access to and they have to play by the same rules. The game's AI has been finely tuned to be a challenging and unexpected adversary at all difficulty levels. And once you've bested the most difficult AI opponents, you can take your decks online against other players!MANY WAYS TO PLAY
Aside from the main roguelike run, the game includes many other ways to play:- Challenges Mode - Complete fun and difficult challenge battles to unlock rare cards for your custom decks.
- Skirmish Mode - Design custom battles and experiment with different decks and strategies against an AI opponent.
- Online Multiplayer - Take your custom decks to a ranked online server against other players.

The DEFINITION of a hidden gem.2 found this helpful

Really fun, interesting, and fresh mechanics. Lots of card variety so far, and I would expect even more as the game is updated. I would like an undo button for actions of mine that don't reveal any new information (which would be most actions except for things like draw card).1 found this helpful
