While not a bad game I just didn't find anything really special about this one. The metroidvania aspects were pretty linear all things considering. The boss fights were fine, nothing really to write home about. If you already own this game and like metroidvania's then give it a play, but I wouldn't recommend buying it at all.

Well, this game’s studio has one hell of a history. They went from a merger involving Earthworm Jim’s studio to making some licensed movie tie-in games, and then they made Silent Hill: Homecoming—which was certainly a game. They finally hit their stride with the Killer Instinct revival in 2013 and this game in 2014. Why do I bring that up? Because they were "acquired" by Amazon immediately after, which eventually led to them developing New World. Man, what a terrible series of choices this company went through. I was wondering why there was never a sequel to this game. I remember playing it before (pretty sure it was on PS3) and liking the movement, but I only picked it up again because I saw it dirt cheap on a sale for Steam. The same things apply now: I still like the movement, but the combat feels really off. The damage numbers should have been tweaked more in the player’s favor. You smack enemies with a wet paper towel, forcing you to constantly mash the attack button or use a charge attack that barely does noticeable damage. The bosses are sponges in the worst way possible. Either let me be completely overpowered, or better balance the damage. On the bright side, the environ…

Game doens't work anymore so i bought it in vain it's a shame because it's one of the best metroidvanias out there
