Super Lesbian Animal RPG is a charming 16-bit-style dungeon crawler following four inexperienced animal heroes—including a lovestruck healer and her adventurer girlfriend—as they stumble into saving their hometown from forces beyond their control. It blends classic Final Fantasy-inspired gameplay with modern quality-of-life features, story-driven exploration, and a heartfelt narrative about love and anxiety that lets you customize your party, enjoy an 80-track original soundtrack, and yes, make a unicorn kiss.
It all seemed perfect. And then things got weird.
Super Lesbian Animal RPG is a game about love, anxiety, and fighting funny looking monsters in dungeons. It follows the stories of Melody, her girlfriend Allison, and their friends Claire, a rule-bending witch, and Jodie, a dependable knight. Over the course of their journey, our inexperienced heroes will meddle with forces beyond their control and find themselves responsible for the fate of their hometown. They'll also fight some spherical frogs, travel to a forgotten land in the sky, befriend a robot or two, and piss off the local librarian. But that should go without saying.

It's a fun RPG! The writing's target audience is definitely transgender lesbians, so if you feel like that speaks to you I'd 100% recommend. Gameplay-wise it is honestly just a regular good RPG, and I love that. It does have some technical issues especially on lower-end devices like the steam deck, but they're tolerable. The slow speed of the battles did annoy me, so I made a mod to fix that: https://gamebanana.com/mods/691763
I voice acted this with a bunch of good friends. its was the most fun I've ever had in my whole life. and then I saw the tumblr post saying there'd be more and exploded. I should drink the wizard moonshine. would lesbian again.
