It's worth $10 and your time as it's a fun squad-builder roguelike. Just bear in mind one key difference from other survivors-like. It's a survivors-like that focuses on grinding, leveling, equipping, and unlocking mercs in your squad who do all the damage. You provide buffs or effects as the commander. The power spiking you see in other games you won't find here, at least not at first and not with your commander (your character) and instead with some grinding and your squad members. The squad member development is pretty in-depth with lots of customization and RNG to fish for. It's not a bullet-heaven or a twink-stick shooter as claimed in the store tags because your character isn't shooting. That's what your squad members are for. In fact, the first commander you start with shoots 5 bullets from a pistol and each round takes about 1.5 seconds to reload. Very jarring and not bullet heaven. With that critical difference from other survivors-like games, the game is otherwise pretty in depth with progression and getting crazy builds (squads) to blast through missions. Good survivor-like game with some fresh ideas
The big problem I had with the game, the sponginess of minibosses, has been patched. I'm happy to be able to recommend this game now as a solid bullet heaven that manages to stand out from the packed crowd.
