✦ AI summary
SYNCH is a simple 2D strategy puzzle game with unique synchronization mechanics and good balancing that appeals to players who enjoy unconventional gameplay requiring careful planning. Common criticisms include its limited content with few maps, short playtime, a steep difficulty curve that may frustrate newcomers, and dated pixel graphics that some feel don't meet modern standards for game development.

"SYNCH" is a student project from the Christian Baylor University in Waco, Texas. This year the students failed the course, and this is because the teachers failed the students. If I was teaching a game development class, I guess I would have to make sure to instruct the students that 3D graphics cards became mainstream in the mid 1990s... and that pixelcrap was discarded by professional developers the exact same time monitors capable of higher than 480p resolution were on the market. This year the students made a 2D top down retro pixel turn based strategy games... reasonably shallow with just a handful of units, small maps, no meaningful plot... this might have some legs if the technical delivery was remotely contemporary, but I have no idea what was going through the teachers minds at Baylor. "I played a video game on a Commodore 64 once, so clearly I am qualified to teach students in 2017 from that experience." This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the deve…1 found this helpful
incredible balancing
SYNCH is a simple game. I wish there will be more maps.
