Tales of Graces f is an action RPG all about adventure in fantasy worlds and overcoming obstacles through friendship and determination.
• A child’s promise is the world’s last hope
On a lush green planet called Ephinea, three young children make a promise to each other that could save the future.
Asbel, heir to a local lord, Richard, prince of the Windor kingdom, and Sophie, a strange girl with no known past, all swear a special friendship oath after helping each other survive a dangerous attempt on Richard’s life in the land of Lhant.
Years later, the world has changed. Asbel and his friends must face grave danger when Lhant becomes the battleground for a power grab among the three great nations of Ephinea. It is at this moment when an even greater threat is revealed and the bonds between the young heroes are put to the test with everything at stake.
• Exhilarating continuous action with two styles to choose from!
The Style Shift Linear Motion Battle System allows players to switch between two very different battle styles, Artes and Burst.
You can choose the strength and range of the party’s attacks, the size of the attack, and how close or far away you need to be to the enemy for maximum effectiveness.
• Addition of convenient functions and improved graphics
Quality-of-life functions have been added, such as auto-save, various skip functions, the ability to turn off enemy encounters in fields and dungeons, and more.
• Full character development and item elements
There are more than 100 different equipable titles that players can rank up through battles, allowing them to learn various skills and techniques that strengthen their stats.
• Lineage and Legacies depicts the world after the ending
Six months have passed since the journey around the world. Sophie is troubled by uncomfortable thoughts about her eventual future and she is determined to find a way out.
At the same time, strange changes spread throughout Ephinea once again. While Asbel is concerned about Sophie, she and her friends set out to investigate the cause of the anomaly...

Brothers separated by a father’s poor choices, a childhood friendship, and the dangers of science without compassion or ethics, these mistakes from the past threaten the future. As a longtime Tales fan who started with Tales of Destiny and has played most of the main games, I am glad Tales of Graces f Remastered finally came to Steam. I missed out on the PlayStation 3, along with every Tales game that was exclusive to it. The combat is essentially the standard system found throughout the Tales series, but it remains enjoyable, and the small additional mechanics give it enough variety to feel engaging. The artwork and character designs are solid, and the cast is likable overall, although a few characters are somewhat forgettable. The music is fine, but I cannot recall any particular track that truly stood out to me. I also liked the antagonists. Two of them are frightened and emotionally wounded people who lash out while trying to protect themselves and live their own lives. The other is simply a ♥♥♥♥♥. Overall, Tales of Graces f Remastered is a solid and enjoyable entry in the Tales franchise.1 found this helpful
Best Tales game out of the series
A really fun enjoyable tales game 10/10!
Tales of Graces is a very solid game with a very good story, a fun cast, and a stellar combat system that rewards skilled, technical play. It does have some pacing issues, especially near the middle. And the characters can seem flat at times (though they do all have more depth than it initially seems like they do), but as long as those aren't deal breakers for you (and I don't think they will be for most people, especially RPG fans), this game is a very solid game. I don't want to spoil anything, but the story has subversive qualities. Asbel, in particular, has one of my favorite arcs in a Tales game (really, it's just a strong arc in general), even if it seems a tad generic at first. For tales fans, I consider it a must play for the combat alone.

This is my 2nd time beating this game (1st time on PS3) filled with friendship crap but I like it despite the story. Characters are fun and combat is great as expected from the Tales dev team, in this case Destiny team. JP casting is better as usual, not saying English VA are terrible but JP is much more smoother in delivering MAMORU. (Though I have some nitpick on Laura Bailey's Hi-ougi line delivery) Might tackle Zhonecage when I have time.
