The Faded is an episodic pixel art horror adventure game. In this story rich adventure game, you will play as a 14 year old girl, Ume who gets lost in the infamous Perish Forest, strongly known for its supernatural and haunted activities. Many people enter the forest to suicide but whoever goes in, never comes back.

· Chapter 1 is set in the forest environment which includes not only ghosts as enemies but also several wild animals.

"The Faded - Chapter 1 - The Perish Forest Demo" is not a game. It's an advertisement/demo for an unreleased/possibly never will be released/probably abandoned 2D retro pixel shovelware adventure game, using Unity to rip off the super crap RPG Maker construction kit garbage format. Did I mention RPG Maker is garbage? Imagine taking a proper, useful game engine and deliberately making crap with it. Anyway. Implementation here is particularly bad, with ugly 2D retro pixel art used instead of contemporary graphics, possibly due to lack of skill/talent, or sufficient budget to hire someone capable of making video games, regardless, it looks crap and that's what gamers need to know. Other aspects of implementation are on par with this, crappy controls, bad handling, terrible story. Resolution and controls are locked so there's no way to improve the experience of this advertisement. It's a common mistake when unfamiliar with Steam to launch demos/advertisements as full games on Steam instead of tagging them correctly as demos. The game seems generic, and I notice it's from 2021, but I don't see the other chapters, so it was probably canceled. It has a few bugs; it was probably rushed out without fixing them... Example bug: I saved at the first checkpoint but forgot to save again. After I died at the bridge, the save was right at the beginning, and all my items and other stuff got glitched, so I couldn’t continue my progress.
