Performance is good and I like the art style, which reminds me of The Settlers III and IV but with a modern take. The game uses a grid pattern when placing buildings, which works well, and the automatic pathfinding when building roads is very convenient. When it comes to the core gameplay, building production chains, gathering resources, and creating a bustling settlement, it’s not as satisfying as the earlier games I’ve played (III, IV, VI, and VII). I was quite disappointed at first. The campaign story, characters, and cutscenes feel like a last-minute addition and are terrible. The game also seems caught between wanting to be a classic Settlers title like III or IV and a more casual RTS, but it doesn’t succeed at either. That said, the more I played, the more I came to appreciate the beautiful art style, smooth performance, and impressive graphics. There’s a surprising level of attention to detail in the buildings, animations, road pathfinding, map design, and sound. I soon found myself spending several hours in each mission, building unnecessarily large settlements, exploring every corner of the maps, and building an overwhelming army to steamroll the enemy. I am Long term settlers fan playings since settlers 2. In general this the boring gender neutral version of the game, DEI has its hand in it I assume. The positives - The graphics look kinda nice do very blant. The negatives - Its very slow and no speed up. - the story and cutscenes are extremely boring even compared to what we are used of previous version. - Even the fighting is boring - Soulless, blant and steril Conclusion Is worth 40bucks ? No way, maybe not even 10bucks, just play any of the previous versions is my advice.
Good game, bad coding. Do not play this from the steam platform as the bad integration they made makes your saves go away and you on random have to replay your last hours of progress... Might be another experience outside steam but this is a shame.
DO NOT BUY YOU CAN NOT BEAT THE AI GAME IS EXTREMMLY AGGRAVITING
Great game. Can do campaign or skirms. Just can't get crosspllatform to work to play with xbox. The xbox crashes. PC is fine
