Danya continues to steal my heart. Brahve continues to be a complex, intriguing individual. Juniper is still her loyal, confident, wise, and balanced self—and probably still the best friend you'll ever have. And now we meet at least two other important side characters: the much-anticipated Riemphea—Juni's partner, and Brahve's third cousin—Chohra. The Symbiant Re:Union continues to captivate me and send me on a rollercoaster of emotions with its storytelling. Although a bit shorter than the original and a bit more heavy in some ways in both storylines—(we'll get into that in a moment)—the pacing continues to deliver in a very balanced way, much like the first game. There are two major paths you can take within the sequel game: Cayama and Odaria. For the sake of not spoiling overmuch, both have "good" endings. Though each for me came with their own perks. [ The Odaria Path: ] Odaria assumes the storyline from the first game if you had the "perfect" ending, i.e., the only real "good" one with zero repercussions. Odaria is essentially the honeymoon phase of what life is and can be like for Danya and Brahve, as they explore the latter's home planet and Danya gets to know more about …

The Symbiant Re:Union brings back our loved characters from the Symbiant, Danya and Brahve (and Juniper/her girlfriend, who we can finally meet here) to give us an "epilogue" kinda story to two routes from the previous game: The Cayama ending and the Odaria ending (the "best" ending, where you choose all the best choices and make no mistakes). I started with the Odaria ending, and damn, I regret it. I left Cayama for last because for me, it was the best, most heart-wrenching route from the first game and I wanted to save the resolution to it last since I loved it so much. But it is pure suffering, full of regrets, and I wanted to be able to see them happy from the beginning after having my heart punctured so many times playing the Cayama route. That being said, I *did not* like it as much as I thought I would, and that goes for both routes. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, or else I would've given it a negative review. But the base game is just so much better (!!), its just a shame! The Odaria path is simply us looking at our boys being EXTREMELY happy 100% of the time, which is cute, but there's not that much story going on, and the Cayama path felt... rushed, unfortunately. I need more, I love these characters so much. I also really liked how you could play both outcomes depending on the endings in the first game.

(I do my best to 100% any visual novel in both gameplay and achievements before reviewing, but the achievements are currently broken! Rest assured, I have every achievement in-game, but sadly they don't show up on my steam page. Bummer.) This review will heavily mention parallels between my previous review for the last game.
