About The Tribe Must Survive
Set in a dark Lovecraftian Stone Age, The Tribe Must Survive is a strategy survival game about growing and protecting your Tribe from lurking dangers. By day, Tribe members work to provide for their community. At night, the faint glow of the campfire becomes your sole defense against what lurks in the dark. Manage Wood, Food and other resources to keep the Tribe going.
Various global disasters will test your Tribe, as internal factions will challenge its cohesion from within. What kind of leader will you become to help the Tribe survive?
Each Tribe member's behavior is dynamic, influenced by their unique traits and needs. You can guide them through work assignments, resource management, and decisions on building and technology upgrades. Ease Fear levels, organize rituals, and make key choices to help your Tribe persevere against upcoming disasters.
Resources near the campfire are limited. Launch Journeys into the Outer World for vital supplies. Successful ventures allow you to establish new outposts and trade routes. Can you afford to take the risk of uncertain expeditions? Or will you do nothing and risk stagnation? Navigate a number of decisions of risk vs reward, and short term vs long term benefits.
Your choices shape the Tribe's opinions in many different ways, leading to emerging Factions and potential Inner Conflicts. Such events can significantly alter your playthrough. Be mindful of spiritual and philosophical needs, maintain cohesion and safeguard against internal threats.
Each playthrough presents new challenges and opportunities, like procedurally generated maps and a unique mix of Events and Perks. Complete goals to unlock additional perks that can help in your next playthrough. When you feel up to it, set yourself a new Challenge Level to overcome. Win or lose, there is always something to work towards and learn, bringing you closer to the next breakthrough. Whatever it takes... The Tribe Must Survive!

Another 'Promising Early Access' straight to full release once they cashed out7 found this helpful
Another Starbreeze flop?
Sniff sniff. AWOOGA! Boyoyoyoyoyoing eyes bulging out of my eyeholes, is that another Starbreeze flop I see? Oh, nevermind, they only published it, haha. Don't know why it doesn't say that on the Store page, but this is indeed a game published by the geniuses behind PAYDAY 3, a complete travesty of what was once a monstrous moneymaker, as well as an acceptably fun game series. Funny coincidence that the developers would release this Early Access title in dire need of further development, to then not further develop it and say "yep that's it that's the full game, thanks for paying in advance, suckaaaz!", while being associated to Starbreeze, an incompetent company incapable of finishing anything properly, in due time, with a semblance of quality and talent. Funny coincidinc indeed.
Managing a colony should not be a frustratingly annoying task in a colony management game.
Anyway yeah it's a rough, visibly unfinished colony management game that is infinitely frustrating with how little colony management you can do. Controls and commands are not enough to fully realize the actions you wish to undertake. You can fail t…6 found this helpful
The devs are not kidding when they describe this game as brutal. I played a few hours on "explorer" difficulty (the easier one), and really struggled to last longer than a month in-game. There's a lot to manage in this game, and a seasoned survival game enjoyer would likely really appreciate what it has to offer. My only real frustration with the game is that there doesn't seem to be a goal for the gameplay besides simply lasting as long as you can. You can expand your camp into neighboring tiles, but the game loop is pretty fundamentally oriented around simply delaying the arrival of your tribe's inevitable death. Its fun for what it is, though.2 found this helpful
