About Tunguska: The Visitation - Final Cut

Radioactive anomalies. Rabid mutants. Cursed treasures. You step into the Zone with a pistol, a flashlight, and a roll of bandages. Hunt and scavenge, or get lost to the Zone.

COMBAT & STEALTH

Choose from an arsenal of Soviet-era firearms and melee weapons. Go in guns blazing, set ambushes, sneak through shadows, distract enemies. The Zone rewards cunning as much as courage.

SURVIVAL & STRATEGY

Manage food, medicine, radiation, infection, and your trusty backpack. Use careful planning, stealth, or brute force—your approach matters.

CRAFTING & GHOUL HUNTING

Harvest herbs, hunt animals, gather mutants’ body parts. Brew serums, cook food, upgrade weapons, repair gears. The Zone is perilous — but also full of riches for the cunning.

EXPLORATION & LORE

Ravaged villages, toxic swamps, abandoned Soviet bunkers—each environment holds clues, journals, side-quests, and mysteries born of the 1908 Tunguska Event. Uncover the hidden stories at your own pace.

Inspired by the novel Roadside Picnic, Tunguska is one man's vision and creation of a new post-Visitation zone: a place not just full of horror and danger, but also the freedom and opportunities sought after by many near the fall of the USSR.

literally top-down STALKER in the best way; plays well on steam deck but the camera zoom makes things quite small on the smaller screen

Stalker meets Fallout in this 3D isometric masterpiece. Amazing game and highly recommended!

Good game, similar to STALKER heavily, kindof like a top-down version of it, just with a different story, map, etc. Somewhat buggy (my game freezes randomly for no reason at all, but will quickly resume). Gameplay seems pretty straight forward, and very smooth otherwise.

The game is an absolute gem, especially considering it was build solo. I like the strong vibes of Stalker and a very interesting storyline. The choice of weapons is rich, though most of them appear when you no longer need them :) Crafting experience is surprisingly good, though I personally skipped farming as there is more than enough 'free' plants growing around. The fights seemed easy because enemies behave dumb - you shot, then stay around and revert to their positions. That way even most difficult battles seemed easy. The biggest challenge in the game was killing Shamil who appeared to just eat the bullets. ++++ My 2c minor comment on the storyline as an Eastern European: in 1985 USSR, the references to the Cossacks and 'starving to death' look lame, just as one of the protagonists saying 'I owned a thrift shop' - remember, there was no private property in the USSR :). ++++ Otherwise, thank you very much for the excellent experience and looking forward for your 2nd part.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Lite Edition In short: recommended, but wait for a sale for < $10,00. The foundation of the game is great, but some aspects of the game range from shallow to ambitious. Considering this game was developed by one person, it's impressive, but flawed. It's got potential for a second playthrough, but NG+ is locked behind DLC. I'm keeping an eye on the second game and will likely buy it too. Performance: Steady 45-60FPS on my potato on max settings. Exploration: The game as a whole is fun to explore, but each individual map is very small. There isn't much to find off the beaten path because the levels are too small to allow for it. Crafting: My initial introduction to the crafting system reminded of me the first Witcher game. My hope of experimentation being emphasized was short lived due to recipes being easily found or bought. Unfortunately, everything is a recipe and there are no scraps of experimental information to be gleaned from idle campfire chatter. I got a hint at the depth the creator wanted to implement when I was asked to use a simple electrical formula, but it wouldn't be conducive to the mass-market. Ammo crafting is good but needs reagents balancin…

Beware: + Good atmosphere; + Player agency; + Well balanced gameplay; + Interesting story. - Moral choices lack impact; - Reputation system lacks weight in gameplay.
