VectorWave is a free VR tower defense game that takes the usual tower defense formula and puts the whole battlefield in front of us in virtual reality. We are defending a mainframe from waves of malware, and instead of placing towers through menus, we can physically grab, move and throw them around the battlefield. It is a simple idea, but VR makes the basic tower defense setup feel much more hands on. The best part is easily the way we interact with the towers. We can use our hands to buy, place and move them between waves, which makes building our defense feel much more direct than clicking through a normal strategy interface. We can also move and scale our view, so we can either get right into the action or pull back and look at the whole battlefield while planning where everything should go. The game has 21 levels, 20 enemy types and 22 different towers, so there is a decent amount of content for a small free VR game. We also get unique player abilities, achievements, leaderboards and Steam trading cards. The different enemy types mean we cannot always rely on exactly the same defense, and working out where each tower is most useful is a big part of getting through the harder…

Управление простое, но требует точности. Звуковая сцена — минималистичная, но атмосферная. Плюсы: увлекательные уровни, стильный дизайн, доступность. Минусы: ограниченный выбор режимов, сложность для новичков. Подойдёт фанатам аркад и головоломок. Рекомендую!
