It doesn't get easier than that when it comes to Mega Man clones. A love letter to the Mega Man franchise, simple and short game, has all the beloved iconic elements, multiphase bosses, weapons, abilities, secret collectibles and charm, just enough to get you hooked in to get all the achievements. Speedrun friendly and that comes from a person who doesn't enjoy speedruning. It only gets kinda annoying at the end... Too many insta death spikes and lazers with timings. But overall this is the perfect entry for someone who has never played a Mega Man game. Highly recommended for any oldschool platformers

A fun game that you will probably enjoy if you like the classic Mega Man titles (1-11). I'm not a pro gamer but I was able to clear hard mode (and there are two lesser difficulties available if it's too much for you). Overall I had a good time. Not the greatest pixel art in the world IMO but the chiptune was pretty good and the stages/bosses were neat. The only thing I ran into during my playthrough is that pausing the game crashed the game every time. Not sure if that has been fixed (I played this a long time ago). Hopefully so because otherwise it was a good experience! Edit: It is still not fixed. The game crashes 100% of the time when you unpause. Apparently others have this same issue. That's a shame.

Venture Kid is an enjoyable side scrolling platformer that quite obviously pays homage to Mega Man. Each stage has secrets to find and with various difficulty settings, there is some replayability.
